As someone whoās worked in service management, I understand that sometimes things donāt go as planned, and I typically avoid leaving negative reviews. However, my experiences at FoxRiver MedSpa, particularly with one staff member, have been consistently disappointing, and I feel it's important to share my thoughts. Iāve been a regular for the chiropractor package, and the massages from Scott have been excellent. This place has become a key part of my self-care routine, which is especially important given my struggles with anxiety and depression. However, my interactions with JoyAnn, have been nothing short of frustrating. Each time Iāve had an appointment with JoyAnn, Iāve felt like an afterthought. She spends a lot of time checking on her phone , which makes me feel undervalued as a client. There have also been multiple instances where sheās canceled appointments last minute citing āfamily emergencies,ā which, while I understand that emergencies can arise, this has happened too often for it to feel like a coincidence. This has left me feeling dismissed and questioning her commitment to the clients. The last straw for me was when I booked a Brazilian treatment, spending $60 on numbing cream! After applying it, I received a last minute call that JoyAnn had a family emergency and wouldnāt be able to do my treatment. At that point, I was left feeling frustrated, not only because of the wasted time and money but because I was already prepared for the service, and had to cancel my day because of it. This seems like an ongoing issues and Iāve really thought about not coming back after this experience. However, I decided to try again after Meghan at the front desk recommended Daniela, and Iām so glad she did. From the moment I walked in, Daniela was warm, kind, and made me feel like a valued client. She was incredibly thorough, walking me through every step of the Brazilian treatment and making sure I was comfortable throughout. She even stayed after hours to finish my brow and lip services, which truly went above and beyond my expectations. Daniela has restored my faith in this spa, and I will definitely be returning for her services. While my experiences with JoyAnn have left a lot to be desired, Danielaās professionalism, care, and genuine interest in providing an excellent service have truly made a difference. I would recommend Daniela to anyone looking for quality service and a welcoming experience. Itās unfortunate that one personās behavior has impacted my view of this spa, but Iām hopeful that the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all clients receive the attention and care they deserve. Iām looking forward to my next appointment with Daniela and hope others are able to experience the level of service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI initially went in for Red Light Therapy for my Thyroid and I did some research and I found out it would not be suitable for me because I have Vitiligo and it would stimulate color and my whole body has been depigmented. So, I wanted a Solution for my Multinodular Thyroid. Hyperthyroidism in the Spring to Summer and Hypothyroidism from Fall to Winter. I would gain weight in the winter. And my Hormones level is very low and always tired and Brain fog and aches and pains. My situation is a little complicated and tricky to balance. So, Nurse Michelle went over my blood work results and suggested Hormones therapy. I was excited because I needed change in my body and energy and some sort normal balance in my hormones. When I did the research I was nervous because I had Hormone Replacement therapy with the patch and also plant based estrogen patch and both led my hormones completely out of whack and had a rollercoaster ride of emotions and mental fatigue. So, Nurse Michelle listened and heard me crying out for help and was patient advised me to not worry and no pressure think about it and read the pamphlet, however try DHEA 25mg first and see howy body responds. Well, I tried it for 2 weeks and OMGOODNESS!!!!!! I'm so grateful š! What difference it made. My mind is clear and I have energy again. I'm losing weight slowly but I'm starting to lose weight in my stubborn belly area. Granted I work out 30 minutes a day helps and drastic change to diet and sleep. The inflammation has gone down and I feel a whole lot better. Just by taking the supplement. Maybe this was the missing piece to the puzzle for me. However , I'll be coming back for more and treat myself to the chiropractor and facial. Thank you MedSpa Team for being patient with me! I know I'll probably need more things however it's a start and a New Beginning for me. Look forward to seeing you all again soon!!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited 3 times, each time convinced that I simply got a bad practitioner. The first time, I got a Brazilian wax. The tech looked super professional. Halfway through the session, she let it slip that she had done less than 10 Brazilian waxes before. Great. My outer labia ended up having the skin pulled off on both sides, in circular patches. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to get this new tech in trouble.
I came back 6 months later, for a massage. It was immensely lackluster. I remember thinking that it must have been a new tech, again, since the reviews for this place are so great.
The third visit, I came in with my mom. We each had an hour-long massage, with upgrades (a special biomat table and cupping). My tech was a women who was immensely out of shape, breathing heavily the entire time, and lightly grazing my skin. She fumbled for a full 5 minutes with the cups, could not get them to suction properly, and then spent 20 minutes of what was meant to be a deep-tissue massage talking about scar treatment and how she can eradicate the scar on my back with her tool.
That's all great. But it wasn't what I came here for. I came for a deep-tissue massage, not light grazing and cup fumbling and lightly massaging a 20-year-old scar with a tool.
It has been a disappointing experience every single time. But the last straw was when I finally wrote them a personal email, following their request for feedback, and did not hear back.
I would highly recommend skipping this spa. It looks VERY nice, but the techs are not up to par. I am now trained as a massage therapist myself, having undergone a course last year, and I recognize I should have gone after an insurance claims regarding the burns on my labia. For anyone who has suffered like this - do not hesitant making a claim with their insurance. That's what it...
