Bi-Mart Membership Discount Stores — Local services in East Wenatchee

I have shopped here a few times before. But today 09/10/22 around 4:00pm I walked in was greeted with bad attitude. I am new to the area and only shopped here with family. This was my first time going alone since I’m fairly new to this area, I wanted to shop here since it’s close to home. The lady at the entrance stopped me and asked if I had a card and I replied “no”. She proceeds to go “you know this is a membership store right?” I said, “I’ve shopped here before and I’m sure I have a number with yall” and she tells me that they don’t track by phone number and tells me well this time it’s okay but come in with someone who has a membership… I didn’t even take maybe 2 steps into the store and decided to leave. On my way out another lady employee goes “oh no don’t leave” sarcastically. I suggest you train people on how to speak to potential customers. They could have approached it differently and even signed me up for a “membership”. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt because I don’t know what someone’s day could have looked like but I believe I was kind and did not deserve to have attitude thrown at me. I don’t know if it’s cause I look young or if I’m POC but the guy I held the door for wasn’t questioned...

Great prices, & a lots to shop from. So this stores customer service is one of the best in wenatchee area! While we shopped, our son (he is 4 btw) ended up really sick out of no where. Ended up vomiting within the store, we felt absolutely horrible. Not even having a clue he wasn't feeling well. The manager came over told us not to worry, then ended up cleaning the mess him self. Which We were more than willing to do our selves, he insisted on doing it. We still feel horrible that he ended up with cleaning up, but he was more worried about our son. Pointed us to kids meds, & told us not to worry. Even tho we did, LOL. Just over all an aweful experience having a 4 year old, and ten month while dealing with a random spout of illness in a public place. I have been a member for several years and I've enjoyed shopping here. I think the thing that stands out more than anything is the laid back atmosphere and the staff. No matter what I may be looking for there is always a kind helpful employee eager to help. I enjoy this place and I get a bit of nostalgia and a feeling of going back in time where things just seem slowed down and thoughts of my childhood and how everything and everyone seemed more connected and kind. So if you haven't shopped at Bi Mart please consider doing so, it's a small one time sign up and it is forever a place you can go to get great products,excellent prices and above all else you will be supporting a locally owned and operated company.
