I was excited to try this restaurant because I was recommended it by a local friend. Unfortunately it was a bit mediocre as far as Mexican food. The sauces were way too spicy, and if you use too much it overpowers the flavors. The beans tasted like they were out of a can, but the rice was decent. I ordered a chile relleno, which seemed a bit too saturated in grease; definitely have had better elsewhere. The only thing that I really enjoyed were the tortillas, which were made fresh. The portions are huge, so you'll be taking home a lot of food. The restaurant itself feels like it doesn't have air conditioning, so go there when it isn't too hot. The service was also a bit slow, which was surprising considering that there were only two tables occupied.

El Fogón is the spot in East Wenatchee, no doubt about it! If you're craving authentic Mexican food, this is the place to be. The birria tacos are out of this world. The meat is super tender, full of flavor, and when you dip it in the consommé… it’s a flavor explosion! Every bite takes you straight to your happy place. Everything on the menu is delicious, with those homey flavors that make you feel like family. The salsas are on point, and the vibe is so welcoming—like you’re at home. The service is always friendly, and they make you feel right at ease. Whether you live here or you're just visiting, you have to check out El Fogón. You won’t regret it! Definitely my favorite place for Mexican food in East Wenatchee! Highly recommended!

Racist....I've encountered the woman twice. The first time I bought some cabbage salsa. When she did look at me, she scowled. She didn't smile and barely acknowledged I was there. I just figured she was having a bad day. We all do. My husband and I went there for lunch today. She was there and another waiter. The man was very nice. Got us sat very quickly. The same woman bypassed us twice. She sat 2 tables after us and she took their orders before us. I know she knew we were there because she gave us our menus and water. She looked at me once. The other waiter took another table before us also. We were the only ones in there who were not Hispanic. Shame on them. We won't be going there again.

Cute little place and the food looks good BUT our waitress wasn't clear on the ingredients. I asked what the Machete was she told me everything it had except that it has cactus. I'm allergic to cactus. Yeah for me I love taking benadryl in the middle of the day, now I'm itchy and sleepy. Then my husband ordered 3 tacos no onions, she repeated back to him his order. He is allergic to onions. Well his tacos came with big pieces of grilled onions on the side and little chopped pieces on top of the tacos. He sent his tacos back thinking they would make a new order. Nope they picked most them off. The waitress actually tells him there is only a little bit of onions. He tells her yeah I'm just a little bit allergic. At least he didn't eat any!! We paid paid for our uneaten food no tip. Wait here's a tip go somewhere else if you have any...

We sought out this restaurant based on social media and was extremely disappointed. The menu was confusing and there were pictures of items and their names all around the restaurant but you couldn't see what was included when looking at the menu. Food was ok and portions were big but service was not good. There was only one person working and she was doing take outs and in person dining however there was only us and one other table. We weren't greeted and were never checked up on and one of our meals came with tortillas that weren't provided to us until 15 minutes into our meal. Communication was definitely an issue and it was hot as blazes inside. Our water was cucumber flavored and the ice melted within 10 mins, when I asked for water without cucumber flavor and she couldn't understand. Very...
