I bought a Costco card online this month at the Costco Website so that I could take advantage of lower prices. I went to the East Wenatchee, WA Costco to get my card, they took my picture and gave it to me right there in the store. It worked for one day. I found one potential good deal on Orange juice advertised on the sign above the cooler. When I got to the register it cost much more than was advertised, so really I could find better deals at Safeway a block away where they have friendly staff that seem happy to be working there. This Costco is polar opposite. The rules seem to change daily. We were allowed to go into the exit in order to access the membership desk and food court. The next day I went there to get gasoline and my card didn't work so I went in to the exit to talk to the staff at the membership desk there. As a disabled person I try to save steps when possible. The man at the door argued with me and treated me like a criminal for going into that area and said I should go around the long way to get to the membership desk that was right there next to him. I explained that my new card didn't work and I needed to go to membership desk and food court. He finally let me in when I complained that my card wasn't working and it didn't matter as I could not go into the entrance door because my card would not scan. I waited a few minutes but all the membership people were busy with other customers so I went to the food court that is also in that area to order a piece of pizza. Staff member from the door came running at me and said I cannot come in that door as I scanned my credit card to order food! I did not have much time to wait around because I had to be at work in 15 minutes. So back in the line at the membership desk I was waiting next in line. Someone else came up and they waited on her instead! By this time I was going to be late for work. A person left so I approached the employee at the desk. "Oh. I'm still working with that lady that just walked away" Are you kidding? I said I bought this card, you processed it and handed it to me and it doesn't work now! So she went to another computer and looked it up. She said my membership was cancelled! Some kind of problem with their website and she wanted me to pay her again, saying my credit card was not charged in error. I asked why they would take my picture and hand me a card anyways. She said there was a problem with their website and I am not the only one with this issue. Now after this experience with Costco I will NOT pay them again. The rude people have no idea what customer service is about so why on earth would I want to be a member. We have the pay $65 for the opportunity to ship there as if it's a great deal. The prices are cheaper at Safeway a block where they are nice to people. Avoid this place, it's not worth the hassle of the angry workers who "greet you" at the door....
Read moreTire services depending upon your time of arrival can vary. And if you have a sense of surroundings, I would suggest using it. If there are other cars in the bays, just know it's not going to take them 20mins to get your car in and out. Realize that you are probably 5th in line especially during a weekend or the weekday that is typically payday or when other people show up to get the same services. It takes about 15mins per tire, your sensors and valve stems are always replaced because they get dirty and they start to Crack after a while. If you are wanting to get anything other than an oil change, then you need to plan on staying for AT LEAST 1.5hrs ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SEE OTHER CARS IN THE BAYS BEING WORKED ON. usually on weekend paydays, it's pretty busy and if you need to talk to a service personnel, DON'T WHISTLE AT THEM THEY ARE NOT DOGS. You probably wouldn't like it especially if it's done enough times. Realize that there's not JUST YOU in the line and that things will take more time especially when they have to stop and get another person written in for services. The one star folk have no idea what they are doing and no idea how a vehicle works for that matter. If you do and can get it done faster because your cousin said so, by all means, do it. Plenty of people out there. You are not special nor are you in no shape or form to be in a negative attitude towards others. You probably got a rude response from them for the question you asked that could have been a simple Google search. You used it to make the review, learn how to figure out the questions you need online if you are not sure. Plan ahead for 2 to 3hrs if you're going on a payday weekend especially after it snows or the tax returns coming in. It's advised that you just expect the tire service to be at least an hour. If you think les schwab can do it faster,...
Read moreJune 13, 2024. Used self checkout. First time. Validated I had a legit Costco card with employee, validated it on the machine. Was instructed not so nicely that I could not use a box until all items were accounted for on the scale. I scanned a book, scanner messed up, employee corrected and treated me as though I made the mistake. Spoke to in a condescending voice and speech pattern. I had not one but 2 employees watch me scan every single individual item yet not be helpful. I had to leave all the items I just paid for on the 'scale' to go in search of boxes (employee could have provided). Worst possible boxes were the only ones available (if you can call them boxes). Now I have to box everything from the scale back into my cart. I was profiled and treated as though I was going to steal by the two employees at the self checkout station. Leaving the store I provided my receipt at the check point. Female employee completely tore apart my cart. Picked up my bread and threw it aside. I now have smooshed bread, thank you. She pulled everything out of my boxes to check a very short receipt. I guessed what she was looking for, I was correct in my guess, and pulled out the book. Comment was 'oh it was at the bottom'. Yes I had to pack my own boxes and I know how to pack to conserve space and balance out weight. NOW I have to repack said boxes in line so that I can unload my cart into my car without all my purchases out in the open. I did not appreciate having purchases I PAID FOR, flung around and being damaged. Worst experience I have ever had shopping. I was dressed conservatively (black Bermuda shorts, blue striped shirt, nice sandals, hair tied back in pony tail). Only thing I could think of, is, I have tattoos. Employee at self checkout mentioned them after I snapped I wasn't stupid. Costco shame on...
