This Ross has really nice things always but the employees make me rate the store one star. First of all this is the only Ross location that doesnāt let you try clothing before buying. I found my self debating whether I wanted to buy some items or not.
I was putting some stuff that I had in my cart back since I couldnāt try anything and one of the employees approached me in Spanish assuming that I was āHispanicā and that I didnāt speak English in a rude way saying that if I was not gonna take anything that to leave in the register with an attitude. At this point Iām on my way to the register and sheās basically following me too see if I would go to the register, on the way there I find my boyfriend with my baby so I stopped on the side of the register to see some tumblers and the cashier screams ānext guestā I wasnāt even on the line so I keep talking to my boyfriend and she proceeds to literally scream āHELLO NEXT GUESTā Over and over again like 6 times screaming. When I realized she was screaming to me I asked her for one second and she responded to me in a really rude way that they were going to close, it was 10:15 pm and they close at 11:00 pm. I proceed to buy my stuff and when I put the things in the counter she didnāt have even acknowledge me, she literally threw everything in the bag with an attitude and didnāt speak to me. I pay for the stuff and thank her, told her to have a good night she didnāt even respond, so I walk away. I had my baby in the cart and Iām on my way out, at this point she screams at us āCARTS donāt go outā with an attitude.
With all this being said my point is I never leave reviews in stores or anything but we wonāt be going back, it was the worst retail experience. And I donāt think people who work with people everyday should be like that. At the end of the day they are getting paid thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrices are good but not sure it's worth the aggravation. . You can't take your cart out of the store, yet they skimp on bags to safely carry your purchase...manager's order. If you buy something that turns out to be defective, they will not take it back. Long lines, poor, rude management, awful customer service. Basically, it seems like their policy is "the customer is always wrong " instead of the other way around. I can go on and on...but you get the picture.
One month later, gave the store another chance... The Ross in East Windsor, NJ is the worst store by far. Awful customer service ,rude unhelpful employees, especially management that couldn't care less about customers. They're always short staffed and takes forever to check out. Every questioned decision is met by "I'm just doing my job" and/or "this is company policy". Returns are met with lots of difficulty, even when new, unused and accompanied by receipt. Example: I was refused a return of brand new, just purchased item accompanied by receipt. Went home, sent my husband and return was processed without any problem. I wonder if this behavior has to do with the fact that Iām a senior and disabledā¦Easy pray? See Rachel B.'s review from 3/26/2019, who also mentions the name of the SAME manager I had a problem with...not just once. There's a pattern to his behaviour. Too bad they lost the sale of about $200 I had in my cart. I used to shop there almost every Tuesday. Since the beginning of the year I've spent over $1500...Ross will not see one more cent from this customer. Yes, Prices are good but the aggravation is just not worth it. TJmaxx has similar merchandise, much better all the way around and is just across the street. Too bad there's no option...

First off the prices on the cloths are not that cheap! Your better off going to Marshalls/tjmaxx way more merchandise and prices are the same for much better quality. The cloths here seemed very poorly made and cheap quality on top of that there was not a lot of merchandise! The shelves were practically empty! Which Iām assuming is due to the holidays but that was almost two months ago. Lastly, when I asked to see something at the jewelry counter , the women working both the counter and register was unprofessional and gave me an attitude when I said āhey , WHEN YOU GET THE CHANCE Iād like to see something here.ā which I felt was fair enough. Iām educated and have enough common sense to obviously see that she busy and was handling multiple things at once which is why I said, āWHEN YOU GET THE CHANCEā therefore her attitude was uncalled for. Than she said I would need to get on line , the same line as everyone who was purchasing something. Which to me makes absolutely no sense, when I wasnāt even sure if I was going to buy the item I had asked to look at. I couldāve waited, but I was not making that line. All she had to say was ā sure just give me a few moments!ā Understandable. Instead of the smart talk and attitude.
