I ordered online and picked up at my local pet store. While the people were nice I was more satisfied with my pet & purchase. I went in intending to only pick up what I ordered but decided to add on to my Hermit collection. I seen what looked to like the boss talking with another manager or employee and then what I later found out was a cashier. The first two were talking amongst themselves, so I decided to ask the Register girl for help. She assured me she was in fact an employee but when I asked for a Hermit crab she called the boss I guess of the pet friendly section and said “Someone needs a hermit crab” he not so friendly said “well I’m busy right now with something else” now as I mentioned earlier him “Mr. busy right now and an older woman worker was having a full blow conversation pertaining to work , who knows? So he then tells the cashier “You want to do it?” “Go for it” . She was on her way to the sink to get some water for a pet I assumed by the way the container she was carrying looked. I’m sure it wasn’t for any human consumption. She proceeded to finish with probably a customer. While the older woman and gentleman finished the conversation Between themselves. I hope I next ! The other part of this situation I noticed and go through daily is when they younger girl came back to assist me they almost didn’t want her to touch that area because now that she was back the older lady wanted to help me which I thought was unusually wired!! I also know this was the case because she needed the key to open the cage which he then didn’t give to the minority girl he gave it to his conversation buddy. Now I only wrote this review because the older woman stated “she never did this part before. (Picking a hermit crab out of a tank) so what was the problem with letting the girl at the register who came back promptly to assist me and didn’t make me a non priority help me? I know what this is I go through it too I won’t make this a Color or Racial review. Who ever the owner is or store manager is (hopefully not the man talking to the lady) just fix it. Customer service goes a long way especially in small towns ! I’ll try...

I was very surpried, however, at the refusal for help in my request to start a large new aquarium. I asked for some dirty media frim filters. I immediately offered to pay for new media: cotton, carbon or sponge filters so that I could jumpstart my as yet not cycled aquarium. I was not asking for anything free, I offered to pay for new, clean media for the store as a 'swap' for their dirty media so I could 'seed' my aquarium. My request was refused. I asked if I could please pay for dirty, filthy plastic decoraitons in their tanks, just a few pieces, for which I would GLADLY pay for and they could replace then with fine, new, colorful decorations which would clearly impress other customers. Again, I was flatly refused. I have worked as an operaitons director overseeing large customer stafss in NYC, North Jersey and Atlantic City. Unless a custoner's request for service or items was way over the top, I always instructed my teams to keep that customer so as to make them happy, thus, engendering repeat business, thus continuing to increase the 'bottom line'. Given that I was asking for, and willing to pay...for dirty, filthy media, and was refused, well that makes me think a little harder once I get my very large aquariums up and running as well as sharing this amazing episode with 5 of my friends, some of whom have asked that I set up large marine aquariums for them.
You asked for my resoponse, there oyu have it. I would not even rate my experience at your store and I will very likely think about going elsewhere and online to purchase fish and equipment for myself and...
Read moreI had a horrible experience for my first time coming here. I went to have my dog groomed and, when I dropped her off they stated it would be a 2-3 hr long appointment. Since i hadn't gotten a call, 4hours and 30 minutes later, i went back to the store. When walking in I see the groomer just plaacing my dog on the stand and starting to cut my dogs hair. It was already a longer time than they stated, but when I looked through the window, she was more concerned about her conversation and laughing with her co workers, than actually cutting my dogs hair. After seeing that, I asked how much longer it would be, to someone at the front desk. They said "I don't know , let me check". They asked her and she said 10-15 minutes. 15 minutes later, still not done and still just laughing and conversing with the coworkers, instead of actually cutting my dogs hair. Again I went to ask " how long is it going to be, because I have work in a little bit". They went to ask and she stated 5 to 10 minutes. Finally 15 minutes later she comes out acting like it's ok to take 5 hours to groom a small little dog. I asked her why it took longer than the 2-3 hours. She stated that she took a puppy ahead of my dog( mind you I made an appointment) and since it was the first time for the puppy , she fell behind. I understand things happen, but why not let the customer know the situation at the door, so they can decide wether they want to stay or not, or call and let the customer know it will be longer than anticipated. I will definitely not be coming back to this location. Not that they care, from the level of...
