Went to the store for an Xbox controller that was in stock and on sale online. Was told the sale was online only. Online stated pickup purchase was allowed. I asked the clerk if I did the pick up purchase could I grab it quickly as we both stood right in front of the locked case with the two controllers stocked in front of us. They stated I could not take it up front.
So I do the pick up purchase online on my phone right in front of the clerk and let them know. They walk off sort of aimlessly through electronics. I hang out while the wife shops at target and TJ max next door. It’s now an hour later. Still no update. The pick up order team is just standing at their counter with no line. Maybe they have other orders to fill from the counter - idk.
I go to Best Buy next door. Showed them the online sale price that target is running on controllers. They snag me a controller and price match it.
I cancel my pick up order from target.
Target can’t even price match their own price? What a fail. And the team there had like 4 different opportunities to just be a human and help someone grab something they needed.
The Guy and team at Best Buy next door were all fantastic. I will continue to shop Target online sales and ONLY buy them at Best Buy thanks...

I asked to do a return and I explained I didn't have the receipt, the employee said no I need to ask if I am allowed. She walked away and in 2 min came back and asked me all these questions about apps and cards etc. I explained that I do not have a receipt, they were gifts. She said no we can't do the return. I asked if the policy was changed that no target does returns without receipts and she said yes. I asked to speak to the manager and she went to get him. Another employee came up and I explained the same and he said we don't do returns without receipts. I asked if the policy changed, where is that policy update. He said in the website after he looked around for it on the walls and counters. I already reviewed every posting and nothing said no returned without receipts. I asked for the customer service number and left. I called the number he gave me and the agent said that that is not the policy. Target does process returns without receipts. Read moreI have always been a great supporter of Target. 🎯 I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with how they mismanaged my issue. On Saturday 1/25/25 I went shopping with my college aged daughter, who is also an avid Target customer. She bought a few things from the beauty department, where she bought three boxes of ZitSticka. She opened one of the boxes and found the box empty. It seems as though someone stole the patches and left an empty box. I tried calling the store on Sunday but no one ever answered the phone. I tried to call on Monday again and spoke to a salesperson and explained what happened. They told me that they didn’t think it would be a problem to give me a refund or give me a new box since I paid for an item that I didn’t receive. They put me on hold to confirm with the manager. She returned to tell me that they cannot do anything for me. So I’d like to warn Target patrons that they don’t care if loyal customers are cheated.
