I also wondered why my dog was reluctant to go there and why he acted like he had been punished when he got home. After daycare at Hound Dog my dog would shy away with his tail between his legs and off to a dark corner. I have a very loving, playful and energetic 3 year old pitty. I thought bringing him here was a great idea, I was lead to believe that he gets hours of socialization and exercise, and some time, if needed, to "rest". When actually he got 1 HOUR of play time, then was shuved in a kennel for the other 3 hours! I never kennel my dog at home. He was abused, neglected and lived in a kennel for the first 10 months of his life, and was only let out for 10 minutes a day for food, water and to potty. I've worked extremely hard with him these past couple years to help him get over that fear. I am outraged to find out I paid to have this place undoubtedly regress my dog's progress and damage some trust I've built with him. When I asked why they did that, they simply said they were too busy and this is how things are done. Do not trust them when they say your dog is fine when you leave! Don't think just because he is "exhausted" after day care that it could only be because he was playing the whole time. Your dog was probably depressed or exhausted from pacing around the kennel they were stuck in for HOURS! If your dog is showing signs of reluctance. TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! ASK QUESTIONS, GET PROOF AND DO NOT SETTLE FOR A PLACE LIKE THIS. ADOGO has webcams, they update you on your dog's activities, friends and behavior each day. They don't accept more dogs than they can sufficiently tend to, and they keep a collar on your dog for safety! HOUND DOG DOES NOT DO ANY OF THIS! I received a phone call this morning after I dropped my dog off saying there was something wrong with my dog. When I got there, I was given a very vague response on what exactly was going on. Next thing I knew a police officer was on scene and I was being accused of stealing a laptop and purse from another customers vehicle. I told them I didn't steal it. They checked the exterior video cameras. Video provide I didn't steal the any items out of her vehicle. Honestly, I had no issue with the with the police or the women. My issue was with Hound Dog Hotel and specifically the manager, Kyle, with how they handled the situation. They made me think there was something wrong with my dog. I had no clue if he was sick, if he had got attacked, etc. They just wanted to get me back there to accuse me of a crime I did not commit. After 4 years I will no longer be bringing my dog to Hound Dog as I cannot trust them and will also be sending an email to the owners in regards to this matter so it hopefully never...

Seriously impressed right now! Last week I had to board my lab while I had a few late nights at the office. I had used this place a few years ago but wasn't overly impressed. I heard ownership and management change so I thought I would give it another try! The went beyond my expectations this time! One of the managers was at the front desk when I went in and took time to speak with me about what I didn't like before and how it was different now. When I picked up my dog, he was tired but happy to see me. The next day when I pulled up, he immediately started freaking out in the car. With my previous bad experience it worried me, but ask soon as I opened the car door, he took off and waited in front of the main door to go in! He went with the staff with no problems without a backward glance! He was ready to go play with his friends!
