I stopped in here after dinner wanting to look at engagement rings. I asked the woman working if they had any moissanite. She proceeded to say that she would “never carry anything moissanite because they were just not at all pretty.” That they were “one small step above cubic zirconia, and look really fake when the light hits them because of the rainbow hue.” It took me until I left the store to realize how rude and flat out mean she was being. In no way did I return the insults but she continued to hurl them until I left. What if someone had been in the store wearing a moissanite or cubic zirconia? But clearly she didn’t care. The impression I got from her was that she was the owner, or one of the owners. That makes this all the more unacceptable. I am not against spending thousands on a harvested diamond, but for me, a lab grown or moissanite are more sustainable for the environment. One of my favorite shops in Edgartown, CB Stark Jewelers is just the place to stop in to shop for a loved one, including for yourself! Over the years on island, I've purchased some of my favorite pieces for myself, as well as gifted some great items from their collections.

Their Island Tie is truly a memorable piece that my business partner and I purchased for each other after the completion of a big project, and it always holds a special place on my wrist and heart!
