This review is a bit challenging for me, as I've visited this place at least 4 times over the past year. The owner is a kind person who has always been willing to adjust her schedule to accommodate me, especially since my own schedule can be difficult. I do appreciate that she’s been flexible in finding time for me, even at the last minute.
However, my main issue is that I always felt rushed to finish my nails within an hour, which is simply not enough time for hard gel nails. This led to a sense of urgency, and when one nail wasn’t quite perfect, I was called "picky" for asking to be corrected.
I gave the salon a few more chances, but the last time I visited, the owner assigned a new person to do my nails. She knows I care about getting my nails perfect, but unfortunately, the new technician lacked the experience, and my nails were done poorly. In the end, the owner stepped in to finish the job, but again, I was called "picky."
I don’t expect to be called picky at a salon; I go to relax and enjoy a nice experience, not to feel rushed or uncomfortable. The reason I’m writing this review is because, on my first visit, I was charged $75, but this last time, the price jumped to $105. There were no price lists provided, so I had no idea what to expect and was left to assume whatever the owner decided to charge. While I tolerated being called "picky" during previous visits, the last experience — including the rush to finish and the unexpected price increase — left me feeling dissatisfied and disappointed.
Here is my advice: If you care about your nice salon that you are so dedicated to, don't make customers feel rushed. Don't call them picky when they want a perfect job. Give yourself more time to do a professional job with each customer, instead of trying to take on more clients. And lastly, display prices somewhere so your customers aren't surprised at the end and know what to expect.
I still love your colors nails polished and I 100% can ensure that the owner does a great job, when she has time. She is really good, but...
Read moreI have been a year long customer there and Victoria was my nail tech who resigned recently. So I tried a new tech but she doesn't understand any words in English and when she was removing my cuticles, I got bled and ended up having infection and took a month to recover but I didn't write a review at that time because at least she was sweet I can tell. However, yesterday when I had my nails done by the owner.. I was too disappointed. In the middle of the service, the owner told me she needed use the restroom and while later she came munching her chips while I was waiting for her but she didn't even say sorry! Also she used the high heat on the machine which caused the pain but she still did because it made time quicker to bake the gel. I don't normally write any reviews especially bad reviews but this time, it should help the owner who needs better skills and professional mind treating a customer.
And now my two nailschipped already ONLY 4days after I got my nails done by the owner!!
You were still eating your chips at the shop when you were walking in and you didn't wash your hands, just used hand sanitizer. And 'nervous moving around?!' Are you joking?! It never happened with other nail techs and it was not my first time for the gel nails! Don't be silly and please admit it. It was your tech who has a...
Read moreI really wanted to love this salon at first, I did. The atmosphere is nice and the service seemed good. But over time, I noticed a pattern of inconsistent pricing and unexpected add-ons that weren’t explained until checkout. I was charged $85 for a pedicure with no real massage included at that price point, a 15-minute massage should be standard.
I had an emergency with my dog and had to cancel last-minute, I even sent her proof of my dog in the vet hospital. I had already paid for the service through classpass, but the owner tried to make me pay again if I wanted to reschedule. After some back and forth, she allowed me to reschedule, but when I returned, I was given a rushed 40-minute pedicure even though the service description says it should be 1.5 hours. When I asked about the massage, the assistant told the owner (in Spanish) that she had already given me one, which she hadn’t. The owner told her to just give me a “little” massage.
Unfortunately, it feels like the customer experience and transparency aren’t prioritized here anymore. I’m disappointed and won’t...
