I love CAVA! The opening of a new branch in Edgewater had me absolutely thrilled. The quality of their food is consistently exceptional. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to fulfilling pick-up orders, particularly in terms of portion accuracy and order completeness.
During my three pick-up experiences so far, there have been instances of items missing from my order. Initially, they forgot the extra pita I had paid for, and the dressing container lids were not securely fastened, resulting in a spillage inside the bag. Another customer complained about the same thing while I was waiting for them to fix this.
On the second occasion, one of the toppings I had specifically requested was forgotten. Then, on my third visit today, they once again overlooked including tomato and cucumber in my order.
In terms of the portions, I asked more for certain toppings I like because you can specify that with the app. It appears that the employees may not be consistently attentive to these instructions. The quantity of toppings has been inconsistent, with some exceeding my request, and others falling short. Today they covered my bowl with so much cabbage although I had only asked to put it once.
Hopefully, CAVA will make improvements in handling pick-up and delivery orders to ensure a more seamless and accurate experience for...
Read moreI’m a regular at this Cava location (about once per month). I ordered the falafel crunch bowl, and they were low on the roasted vegetables and falafel so I asked if I could get more. The (I thought was an associate) named Richard said that was all that was left and anything extra would have to be an extra. This seemed off but I accepted it and figured I would try it.
I went to eat with my wife and it turned out there was nothing of substance in the bowl without a decent amount of roasted vegetables and falafel. I asked Richard (who said he was actually the manager), if I could have it remade after they had replenished the falafel and vegetables but he denied my request. He had a poor attitude and seemed to want to enforce some sort of rule for no real reason other than him being in a bad mood or unhappy.
Another manager named Isabel approached me after to apologize for his behavior but it still left me with a negative impression. We eat there all the time and at any other restaurant they don’t have a problem remaking something if isn’t up to standard. It’s not like I ate the bowl and asked for a whole other portion. I think a manager like Richard probably is lacking training in customer service. Hopefully my next experience is better. Always enjoy...
Read moreTruly enjoy the food from this company it’s delicious and love how fresh it is. As for the Edgewater location if you visit on peak days or times it’s beyond disappointing. Today when I walked the place only had two customers , and the staff of I assume 3-4 people were hanging out behind the counter to the right just hanging out. Two other employees were cleaning and filling up the utensils and napkins. Overall no immediate attention to me the consumer. Stood around 2-3 mins before anyone attended to me. The ground of employee went to the back room, and while I was waiting heard someone yelling “ my hair my hair” I’m shocked that employees are having time to joke around while paying consumers are waiting to be served. Where is the management for this location? Evelyn was really the only person that focused on work and doing their best. Yet someone in management needs to get after this location during non peak days and times. Paying consumers requires attention during all hours open to the public not just during peak times. Hope the right people read...
