Don't ever come to this place. The manager shouted at us and drove us away from the store! My friend and I are both diplomats here in the US but the manager treated us like animals. We were peacefully and quietly talking to a barista to order our coffee, and just because we were having difficulty understanding what the barista was saying, she intervened with a very angry tone which was unnecessary. We tried to ignore her and just continue talking to the barista. But she won't stop intervening in an angry tone. We asked her why is her voice so loud and angry? And she just said "that's it, get out, get out of the store" and she prevented the barista from attending to us. We found out that she is the manager. As a manager, she should be resolving issues and not creating or aggravating them. I complained about her and the District Manager for NY called me. I said I would like an apology because this woman took our dignity when she drove us out of the coffee shop while others are looking. It has been months and we still have no resolution. I also wrote their CEO about this, and still nothing from their end. I thought Starbucks had concerns for its customers. It turned out, they don't.

Horrible Service from this location. My family are long term Starbucks customers and just spent over $40 in Starbucks but when I asked for a water Erica (who claimed as Store Manager) said no free water unless in the same purchase same time same store! It’s Fine to have new policy but since it’s about customers you have to let the customers know. Better post it at front door so customers can see! We asked for showing the policy Erica couldn’t provide it. She looked at her pad then disappeared without any further explanation. For over 30 minutes she couldn’t show any policy support what she claimed. She she said she won’t put the new policy at the front door letting the customers know AS it Doesn’t look Nice. Well she knows it is not nice. And she couldn’t give any policy. And she couldn’t find anyone or give any decent explanation or reasoning. The ONLY thing she did was running away disappearing from front desk! What a horrible place!

This location is a really small Starbucks, but there were four plushy chairs up front with a great view of the outside, and there are a couple of outdoor tables, which I love. My girlfriend and I came here for a couple of hours while my car was getting repaired. We ordered a smoked butterscotch latte and a slice of the iced lemon pound cake. The lady at the counter was super nice, and the latte she made us was pretty good, too. It could have used a little bit more mixing, though. The flavor was stronger at the bottom of the cup, but it was a LOT stronger, like pure syrup. The lemon cake was delicious, as it always is. I really recommend it. It's one of my favorite Starbucks treats. Overall, I really liked the atmosphere here, and if I was ever in this part of town again, I would return here.

“Come for the Matcha, Stay for the Dirty Bathroom… or Don’t.”

Conveniently located with plenty of parking and loads of seating both inside and out, this Starbucks should be a win. They’ve got a great selection of mugs, tumblers, and take-home coffee options. Basically, the setup screams “cozy coffee escape.” But the experience? Not so much.

Let’s start with the ambiance. Or lack thereof. You walk in expecting the usual Starbucks warmth—“Hi! Welcome!” or at least a head nod. Instead, you’re met with baristas who have earbuds in like they’re on a private podcast about how not to acknowledge customers. They seemed mildly inconvenienced when I asked a question, as if I interrupted a thrilling Spotify session.

Quote of the visit: Me: “Hi, quick question—” Barista: Blank stare. Slowly removes one earbud. Me: “…Never mind.”

Ordered a Classic Iced Matcha with Strawberry Cold Foam, a Cortado with 3 pumps of liquid brown sugar, and a Pup-a-chino for Amalfi, my dog (who, thankfully, was the only one who left fully satisfied).

While waiting, I made the mistake of using the restroom. One word: No. Dirty toilet, paper scraps everywhere, trash overflowing, and no toilet paper in sight. I’m not saying it was the worst Starbucks bathroom I’ve ever seen, but it was giving gas station energy—with none of the irony.

Quote #2: Bathroom sign said “Occupied.” Reality: Just sadness and a strong need for Lysol.

After 18 minutes, my drinks were ready. The cortado? Decent, but lukewarm—like a coffee trying to ghost you. The matcha? Surprisingly tasty—sweet and earthy in the right ways. The Pup-a-chino? 4 paws up from Amalfi. His only complaint: “Why did I only get one?”

The drinks were solid. But the wait time, the cleanliness, and the lack of even basic human decency from staff made this visit more chore than treat.

With a good scrub, a team meeting on customer service, and maybe fewer earbuds, this location could be a gem. Until then, bring hand sanitizer, toilet paper, lower expectations, and maybe a travel mug… from home.

I sent my husband into Starbucks to get me my morning latte since I was running terribly late. After my husband ordered the beverage he was called by the cashier and told he still owed $3 as our card only paid $1+. My husband, confused as we had funds in our account, inquired again stating there must be a mistake. After which the same employee told him 'there was no mistake and money was owed'. When my husband asked again, still confused, another employee Laughed and stated 'Ha, there's no mistake and you owe us money'. To which my husband, Beyond embarrassed at this point, asked for his money back so he may leave without the drink. Unbelievably they actually Ignored him, didn't pay him any attention, and continued to serve other customers. I completely understand the mistake as we were unknowingly charged and left with less of the amount we thought we had for coffee, but it was just a Simple Mistake! No need for the Ignorance nor humiliation added to insult by ignoring him and tending to others after he acknowledged his error. We will NEVER BE RETURNING TO EDGEWATER COMMONS STARBUCKS! The staff is extremely cold, handled their customer in a disgusting and racist manner, and Intentionally ignoring him after he was Already embarrassed. This could've Happened to Anyone including them. A mistake is just that, a mistake. So clearly it's a mistake to have ever walked into this type of facility. Step your customer service game up at This specific location Starbucks! We've been to locations in Newark, NJ where they've treated transients better! Sad as hell for the world we live in that people of fairer skin color or having Better Privileges are treated better than the average working person who happens to be a perso of color. You should be Ashamed of Yourselves Starbucks Staff in Edgewater, NJ Who work the...
