There has only been ONE time that I visited this store and wasn't racially profiled and harassed. The first time I was followed by an actual security guard who followed me upon entrance of the store and then proceeded to step in front of me abruptly and ask if I needed assistance in finding something. I told her I was looking for garlic bread. She told me there was no garlic bread and I should leave and go to king soopers next door. She stayed standing in front of me and I told her I need milk too so I was going to grab that and leave. She followed me as I got my milk. I ended up finding garlic bread and checking out with both items. She followed me all the way to the check out and then gossiped with one of the team members. TODAY was very similar. I went in to find a notebook that I was intending to buy for one of my students. I looked in the office supply section and found a notebook I liked. I found some letter stickers to put my student's name on it. I knew school supplies were on clearance so I asked a team member where it was located. They pointed me in the right direction. I got to clearance and wanted to buy my son a backpack and lunch box. I purposely opened the backpack so on camera it shows I'm not trying to steal anything. I went to the sports section, found the lunch boxes and picked one that matched the backpack. I purposely held the lunch box in my other hand so it didn't look like I was trying to steal. I carried the notebook with the stickers and lunch box in one hand and the backpack in the other hand. I walked to the self checkout. I waited in line for an available checkout station. I scanned all my items and bagged them. I payed with my card and accidentally got the PIN wrong. The self checkout station prompted an associate to come "help". Before checking the problem she asked to search my purchases specifically the backpack which was already open and empty. She checked it, and walked away without clearing the prompt on the checkout machine. She then cleared the prompt so I could finish checking out. I really love the products and location of this place, but when I work for a public school district and haven't stolen anything since I was a child I don't feel I should be treated like this EVERY time I visit this particular store. My wife was clearly discriminated against at this Target today by a self-checkout supervisor. I have the entire incident on video (and I was told there are multiple security cameras in the store, so Target has it too). I’m not posting the video because there’s an ongoing investigation — but this needs to be addressed.
Not everyone who shops at Target wears pajamas or arrives in a car. My wife walked to the store in the cold, bundled up, and was the only person singled out and questioned for over five minutes — while four white customers right next to her were completely ignored. I’m white myself, and even I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
To make it worse, the employee told her she had to pay for bags — even though none of the four other customers were charged. I watched it happen, and I recorded it.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable. We spend thousands of dollars at Target, especially on mystery toys and collectibles for our YouTube channel, and it’s sad to see this kind of treatment still happening.

I don't care what I look like or the clothes that I were look like because I work in them and I promise you that I respect my customers for there business because I know what it is to work to live. So when I come into your store to return an item and you treat me as if I stole it but I end up spending 3 times the amount 10 min later for the product that I actually wanted but couldn't get because of your store's lack of employees and customer service.
Start looking at yourselves your company is loosing money and costumers left and right not because of theft! It's because you lack attentiveness and work integrity in your store.
