Beyond Pho Asian Cusine — Restaurant in Edgewater

I Normally Dont Do This Kinda Post But We Work All Over Denver So We Eat EVERYWHERE! WE Decided To Try Beyond Thai At 1931 Sheridan Boulevard Z, Edgewater, CO 80214 **Mind You This All Happened In A 15-20 Mins Time Frame We Weren’t There Long! The Lady Was Rude From The Beginning!!!! I've Never Been Soo Rushed To Order Drinks. We Order Boba And Some Teas & A Appetizer, The Lady Pushed For Us To Order The Food Right After. Noah Tapia Was On The Phone Outside So I Asked Nicely Her To Give Us 5-10 Mins So He Could Finish His Business Call. She Comes Back 3 Mins Later And Asks Me To Order. I Told Her I Was Still Waiting For My Husband. Noah Comes In & 1 Asked Him To Ask Her For Sugar For My Tea. He Walks Up To The Counter And Says "Excuse Me Can I Please Get Sugar" The Lady Comes Yelling At Him "You Need To Go Sit Down I'll Go To Your Table!!!" Absolutely Screamed It To Everyone In The Restaurant Noticed... Noah Got Mad At Left To The Truck. (At This Point I Lost My Temper With Her ) We Didn't Wanna Eat There Anymore For The Way We Getting Treated. I Asked To Pay For The Appetizer And Drinks That Were On The Table. She Said Because I Already Ordered The Food That We Needed To Pay For Everything. Of Course I Asked For The Manger As I’m Trying To Explain What Happened And That I Just To Pay For What Was On The Table The Lady Is Talking Over Me And Telling The Manger I Dont Have A Choice I Need To Pay It. WE Still Ended Up Paying $55.00+ For Drinks & A Appetizer .. Very Disappointed Coming From A Small Business...

The waitress was lovely and so kind. She even gave me a water as I decided what to order.I ordered to go and my food came out quickly. Ordered classic pad Thai with chicken and Thai coconut soup. The pad Thai was not the best, but not the worst either. The noodles were a over cooked and there was flavor to this dish. It just wasn’t knock your socks off good in general. I would never order the pad Thai again. I will say I bet there are many hidden gem dishes and I should have asked the waitress her recommendations of what her go to dishes are currently.

The soup, however was fantastic and I would definitely order this again. Portions in my opinion were correct for the price. I would order to-go from here again.

My uncle is Thai, so I grew up eating this food. Unfortunately, this place is just ok. It’s not bad by any stretch, but the balance of sweet, savory and sour is missing. Mostly the sweet part. As a Filipino, I’m also a good judge of rice. It was made with too much water here, so it was mushy. All in all, it was fine to order if I need delivery, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Addendum post-reply from owner: I am American. Was born and raised here. Not sure why my review in particular made him/her defensive, especially when there are other more critical reviews than mine. Anyways, there are so many places in town that simply do it better. I wasn't gonna mention it, but US Thai a couple blocks north on 25th is my fave in town.

ETA Nov 2024: my new faves are now Lamai Thai...
