Asuka Ramen&Poke(Edgewater) — Restaurant in Edgewater

I wanted to like this place but my experience was shockingly terrible.....

So I picked up an order of Duck wings togo and the oil and hot food were placed loosely into a Styrofoam container with melted plastic touching the food and the food poking out the sides.

After they gave me the food back in a different container about 6 or 7 MORE employees (presumably family members interested in the drama??) They surrounded me and started all yelling at me

"we will only do this once because the other customers don't have a problem with it" one finally blurted into my face.

After I politely explained to them that the melted plastic is touching the food, they agreed with me and I said it was unhealthy and unsanitary. (I have 10 years of food service exp, driving food trucks, etc) They agreed but still decided to argue and yell at me when I picked up my remade wings... I just wanted to get my food and leave as quick as possible but they held me up, and kept laying into me. I had to run out nearly in tears due to how triggering and aggressive they were towards me over 1 small mistake.

Sadly this is far from OKAY. The location and the food seemed to be good, but the customer service, standards, and preparations are...

Oh My Goodness! I've always wanted to try Poke Rice Bowls and when I had the Tempura Shrimp Rice Bowl. "MIND BLOWN!" It waz "Da Bomb-Diggitty Delishio-So Outstanding!" And my wife had the Veggie Ramen. She had an "Awesome" experience with the "Freshness & Shocking Taste-Bud Explosion" & She enjoyed every spoonful. WOOH! You "Gotta Go Getcha Sum!" You won't regret it. I also want to Thank the staff for their patience for explaining everything. Because I've never had Poke. And we came in 30 minutes before they closed. We actually live in Loveland and were in Denver for a business meeting. It was a last minute decision, that we won't forget. All the way home, we keep raving over our experience and how "Fresh: and "Quite-Tasty" everything waz.

I'm Out! ...

I'm not sure how this place gets the reviews it does, but clearly nobody has ever had authentic ramen. This place left me disappointed and I will never be back, nor would I recommend this place. The ramen is slightly better than a 10c packet of ramen with some extras added to the bowl. The broth was not rich as it should be, the egg was overcooked and the food in the bowl of ramen wasn't spiced at all. I have a feeling they take this sad excuse of ramen out of a packet and microwave it.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that has real ramen. This place is a disgrace and they overcharge for what it is. I'm not sure their Poke is better, but chances are it won't be of...
