I recently visited Deka Lash with high hopes of enjoying beautiful lash extensions that would last for two weeks, as promised. Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be a complete disappointment. It has been exactly one week since the application, and I am already experiencing major lash loss.
To be clear, I have been extremely meticulous and gentle with the care of my lashes, even using the recommended lash cleanser diligently. Despite my efforts, the right lashes are practically non-existent, and the left lashes are barely holding on. This is not the kind of quality I expected or have ever encountered before.
Seeking clarification and a resolution, I reached out to the salon, hoping they would understand my concerns. However, their response was far from satisfactory. I was shocked when they casually dismissed my distress by claiming that losing that many lashes within a week was "normal." This is certainly not the experience I've had with other lash technicians or salons.
To add further insult to injury, I was offered a refill appointment this week, but not without being charged. It's disheartening that they expect me to pay for a service that failed to deliver on its basic promise within such a short time.
Given the lack of quality, dismissive customer service, and the audacity to charge for a refill so soon, I cannot in good conscience recommend Deka Lash to anyone. This experience has left me feeling deceived, dissatisfied, and out of pocket. Save your time, money, and lashes by seeking a more reliable and customer-focused lash salon elsewhere.
Update The salon reached out to me directly. They claimed to have no record of my conversation with their customer service team. I provided them with the exact time and day of my call, and suddenly they found a record after all. It was a rather peculiar turn of events.
To make amends for their mistake, they offered me a free refill. However, the underlying issue remains - the lash extensions were simply not done correctly. It begs the question: why would I return to a salon that failed to get it right the first time? Offering a full refund would have been the appropriate way to rectify the situation, but they did not extend that option.

I had booked an express appt and arrived four minutes late. The attendant suggested I use the bathroom before beginning, so I did. Ten minutes into my appointment, she informed me that due to paperwork, she could only work on my lashes for 40 minutes instead of the scheduled hour. When I asked what would happen if she didn't finish in that time, she insisted she had to stop at the one-hour mark, even if the next client hadn't arrived. She then offered to cancel or reschedule, but since I was only in the city for one day, I opted to cancel. I confirmed with her that there would be no cancellation fee, yet the store still charged my card a hefty $60 and refused to refund it unless I removed my one-star review. While some might sacrifice integrity for $60, I refused to take down my review. They need to understand how to operate a business with integrity.
As a new client, the store should have anticipated the time required for paperwork, and it's perfectly reasonable for a client to use the bathroom before a lash appointment. Well I lost an eyelash on friday while I slept. On Sunday morning I washed them with the cleanser and brush I got from Deka Lash since 48 hours had passed already, and one by one they started to fall out! I am so dissapointed in the quality of the products!! I paid over $100 and they only lasted a little past 2 days :(
☆UPDATE☆ Deka Lash contacted me to fix my lashes, which I greatly appreciate. I got the same lashista as last time. Lola was very professional and nice. Once again she took her time and did my fullset. Unfortunately, I still experienced a lot of fall out after only 2 days of getting them done. I have gaps in my lashes and they're coming out with my own lashes. The staff is nice and the lashes look great right after but they won't last. This place is too expensive and not worth your time.
