I've been going to Trillium spa for a while, and have had great experiences, but my experience last Friday evening unfortunately will be my last. I booked an appointment for a friend and our three daughters to get manicures and pedicures (for the girls only). After we paid, I went to give a tip to the technician who had done mine and one of my daughter's nails. After handing her a $10, she immediately turned away and grumbled about it not being enough. I gave her another $10 (even though I realized later that it was a ridiculous tip, given that the manicures were $20 each!) and suddenly she was all smiles. I then gave a tip to each of the technicians that had done our nails, not realizing that there was another woman who had done the pedicure for one of my daughters. As we were leaving, this woman literally chased us to the door, shoved nail polish bottles in my 7 year old's face, and insisted we give her a tip. It was aggressive and rude. The other woman to whom I'd given the large tip actually chimed in and said she would figure it out with her, so she eventually left us alone. But the experience was crazy and totally inappropriate. (Later, my friend told me she had actually stopped going to Trillium because something similar had happened to her in the past.) Based on that alone, I was already done with Trillium, but then to make it worse, the nail polish jobs turned out to be really bad. My nail polish was actually the worst nail polish job I've ever had. I had chosen a bright lime green color, and I realized when I got home that she hadn't put enough coats, as you could still see my nail underneath. That on its own I could have lived with, but then, less than 24 hours later, my nail polish was not only chipping, but peeling off from my nail. I'd never seen anything like it! The picture attached looks like it was taken two weeks later but it was literally the next morning (and most of that time was sleeping! I hadn't washed dishes or done anything that might have caused my nails to start chipping). I'd gotten my nails done for a concert, and they were so bad that I ended up having to take the nail polish off completely. My friend's gel nail polish was also not well done, unevenly distributed across her nail, and not shiny. Our daughters' manicures started chipping the next day as well, and their pedicures were ridiculous - just a one-coat polish that started coming off the next day. Clearly they were all in a rush to finish, did a sloppy job, and yet complained when the tip wasn't enough. I'm bummed, because this place is so nice and clean and I'd had great experiences there when I've gone alone. But seeing the low quality of the manicures and pedicures and the way we were treated, with our young daughters were there, no less? 100% will not be returning.

Extremely disappointed in Trillium. I spent $237.00 NOT including tip and got a $20 quality gel fill and a $5 quality pedicure! I have been wanting to go there for years; finally, last week I treated myself and my daughter to a mani/pedi, I got a gel fill and spa pedicure. The woman i had rushed through both my pedicure and gel fill. She barely massaged my feet, did a rush job exfoliating my heels and feet; Put so little gel on my nails that one nail literately flexes back and forth because the lack of gel on it, over filed my nails so much that I now have extremely narrow nails that I need to get new gel put on, and she did a horrible job on my cuticles. I asked for silver glitter on my tips, which I was grossly charged $20 for, got a little brushing of multi-color glitter after I told her I wanted silver, I even showed her a picture of how I wanted it to look. My daughter got a gel mani and regular pedicure. Her nails are all chipped as well. I could understand the need to rush if the place were crowded however there were only 3 customers, 2 being us. They were lucky she was lucky she received any tip at all. They are over charging their customers because that is the only way they can afford to pay rent for a location they have no business being in because the quality of their work does not stand up to the location, they are in. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I came in as a walk-in and first time customer, but this is the last time I will come here. I came in for a mani/pedi which they sat me immediately and started on my toes (which came out fine.) The manicure was horrible though, my nail tech was aggressive and cut my cuticles three times, and when they started bleeding she didn’t apologize or say anything just cleaned up the blood. Please don’t come here, especially if you’re a POC person because I was watching the other customers and the quality of nails was noticeable different. Extremely disappointed and a waste of 55 dollars (65 dollars because i still tipped them.)

Went there for the first time today and left extremely disappointed and upset.

I went in for a full set and a gel design.

I showed the technician my design picture as soon as I sat down, and she said she could do it. The front desk lady said that I should trust the technician because she is “really good”.

So I trusted her. Terrible mistake.

After the set was put on, she started drawing my design RUSHLY. She didn’t even clean the nail dusts from filing off of my nails. The drawings looked so ugly that I had to tell her repeatedly “this doesn’t look right, could you try again”, at which point she gave off really annoyed, impatient attitude. She also told me her eyes can’t see the small designs (it was just a heart shape)- i’m sorry you couldn’t see well, but why would you agree to do my design if you couldn’t see? After I asked her to take one nail art off and re-do, she told me “no, this is too much work, I can’t do it” and looked at her watch. If you are in a rush, why did you take on my appointment? If you couldn’t draw nail arts, why say you could at first?

Finally I realized that she just couldn’t draw nail arts, and no way Was I going to walk out of there with a terrible set of nail arts into the holiday season. So I told the technician to take all the colors off, I will just do a single color instead. At which point she started making comments in Korean, was extremely annoyed, banged the uv light against the table, and harshly took my hands and started cleaning off the nail arts forcefully. 2 of my cuticles bled because of her harsh handling, I told her to please be more careful, she said “ I can’t take it off, I do it and you say it hurts”.

She was able to do a single color gel at the end (carelessly, underneath the gel were lots of nail file dust). And before I left she had the audacity to tell me sometimes the design on picture just doesn’t look right on your fingernail. Please stop making excuse for your incompetence.

I still tipped her $10 because it’s the holiday season. But I left extremely upset because: 1. She made false promise 2. Couldn’t do her job 3. Had bad attitude 4. Unapologetic

I would never, ever go back here. Would discourage anyone who is thinking about...
