When I first went to this antique mall, I loved it! I had always wanted to stop there when traveling along I-65 but never got the chance until back in June. I'm a vintage/antique jewelry fanatic and found tons of stuff that I napped up, spending over $400! When I went to check out, it was chaos.
First, they had my stuff mixed up with someone else's stuff... so then I had to separate what wasn't mine. Then, he wanted to ring up the stuff that was from 'sale' booths in two separate transactions, which was fine.. until I thought the second total sounded a bit high, looked over the receipt and was double charged for over $100 which they refunded to my card.
When I got to where I was going on my trip, I carefully went through the receipt and my items since it was such chaos to get rung out... and I ended up finding that I had something I wasn't charged for and was charged for something I didn't have... and it was about a $20 difference (in their favor, not mine). I called them up right away and they told me I'd have to come into the store. I wasn't about to drive 120 miles to get $20 refunded so I told them I'd stop back on my return trip in about two weeks.
When I came inside, I went right to the register to talk with a manager. They informed me that they do refunds of this nature by check in the mail, which I thought was strange but was okay with it. I spent another $200 and went on my merry way.. but guess what? It's the end of August and still no check. Yes, it's just $20 but that was my $20 and the way everything was handled is unacceptable. I didn't bother to call and complain about the $20 because honestly it's just exhausting to deal with at this point.
In the end I'd say that if you get to the checkout at this place and have a lot of things (or even if you don't) pay very close attention to everything and double-check it all yourself before you leave the store. And if they make an error, don't expect to get...
Read moreIt is large and in a semi-accessible place. HOWEVER...I went into this place thinking it was going to be something like the Heart Of Ohio mall just east of Springfield, OH. Was I ever WRONG! First, the booths are filled with thrift store items. It was incredible! About 40% of the items I saw were made in the past 15 years, and horribly mislabeled and overpriced. Oh, did I say overpriced? That's right! And that's an understatement! You have "dealers" that are obviously thrift store junkies selling Made in China items for 3-4X more than Target or Walmart! I witnessed customers with nothing in their hands or carts. Many of the true (and very few) "antiques" and collectibles (I'm talking art pottery, especially) were damaged and those prices were 20-300% OVER book value. Yes, the people running the place are nice, but there are no deals here. There was barely any furniture, either. Be very careful reading the below reviews! They are obviously written by vendors there. You can truly tell! I go to many antique malls and stores, and this one made me more angry than those that treat me like I'm an ex-con in a bank. Stay far away until those who run the place figure out exactly what an...
Read moreI love Exit76 Antique Mall! I have visited Exit76 Antique Mall for several years as a customer and just recently opened my own booth (B115, Auction Finds and Vintage Picks) in the Mall.
For vendors this is a very high traffic area that brings in a lot of collectors, re-sellers, and antique newbies! The booth and case rental fee is reasonable, the staff is terrific: Knowledgable, friendly, professional and courteous. I love the security measures that are in place and I paid my first month's rental in 1 week with sales!
For customers Exit76 Antique Mall is very easy to get to, right off of I-65 at Taylorsville Exit 76 (Edinburgh). It has lots of well lit parking, wide doors, and TONS of variety of Antique and collectible items to choose from with prices that vary with quality of merchandise. I would definitely recommend Exit76 Antique Mall to customers and vendors as a great, friendly, safe and rewarding experience! Take a look at what's...
