Yesterday I asked my boyfriend to stop at aldi on his way home from work to pick up a couple of things that we needed. Upon entering the store he noticed that most of the shelves were bare due to winter storm Harper so he took some photos of this to send to me. At this time he was approached by an employee and told that he wasn't allowed to take photos in the store and that if he continued he'd be asked to leave. He said really, I can't take pictures, the employee then said no and quoted a store policy. We've been to this store many times since their opening, even went during their soft opening, and I personally have also previously taken photos in the store to share with my friends, family and coworkers. I have even taken photos of products and sent them to my kids to see if it was something they wanted to try and I was never told I couldn't. Nowhere did he see it posted that you can't take photos in their store. As a matter of fact they have signs posted up on the poles at their registers encouraging shoppers to use their phones and go on social media to follow aldi. He was humiliated in front of a store full of customers for a policy that the public is not aware of. We will not be back to shop here and have already spread the word to friends and family of this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went for the first time to Aldi yesterday which wasnāt that bad of an experience, decent amount of things to choose from. The only downfall, the store isnāt that clean. Things were EVERYWHERE, obviously Iām assuming their short staffed like most places but just extremely messy. My cashier seriously scanned my things extremely fast just throwing my belongings in my cart which in fact hit my toddler who then started crying. I asked her if she can slow down, and it turns out she triple scanned one item and I didnāt notice until I got home! I tried to call the store to tell them I was overcharged which they donāt have a direct number and you canāt contact any management so I have to go back to the store to resolve my issue today. Would I go back? Maybe in a couple of months when they get things a little more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store is very clean. The items are easy to access. The items are very reasonable and no coupons are required. The cashier I encountered was very friendly. The downside: you need a quarter to get a shopping cart. Once you return it, you get the quarter back. However, I witnessed a customer who didn't know that policy and unfortunately did not have a quarter. I didn't have one to offer her at the time, but did offer her my cart after I was done, but she declined. Is there anyway the store could assist customers who are unaware of this policy and don't have a quarter to use to get a cart? Other than that, I love this store and will continue...
