Hobby Lobby — Local services in El Dorado

On 8-8-2024 at approximately 6 pm. My family and myself were in your el dorado location to make a purchase for crafts. Needing assistance but no associates were seen . Finally finding what we could we went to check out and found the missing associates standing and conversing by front right register. The checkout line stretched on the only register open to the isles behind approximately 45 feet. While this line existed a younger white male employee was chatting with with a young black female employee. I politely asked if they planned on opening another register. He laughed and rudley stated that the young female was as soon as the current checker was finished with current transaction so he could replace her. At this point him and the young female began laughing. This upset not only me but the several elderly women in line who like myself had been waiting for a while. Rudeness and laziness is the common environment every time I walk into...

I went into the store to purchase items. The sign stated that the items were 40% off. When I made it to the register, the cashier said the items weren't on sale. I asked for a manager. The manager stated that the items were not on sale. I asked them if they had read the ad. The manager stated that the items were not included but they were listed on the ad. So I stated that the same items were even ringing up 40 percent off online and the manager asked me to pull up the items. I pulled up the online items which were marked at 40 percent off and then the manager made an excuse as to why it wasn't 40 percent off in the store, when it was clearly stated on the ad hanging on the shelf. This store is 45 minutes away and is our closest craft store. The sole purpose of our visit was to find supplies for Homecoming mum rings. Customer service was remarkably awful with lazy employees -- except for one employee who tried to help and another who was very knowlegable in his crafts. This is why there are 3 stars and not 1.

In Homecoming season they did not have supplies for Homecoming Mums as corsages or anything else. We finally were blessed with the help of one man who helped us in many departments.

Final verdict --- Many substitutions were made, but the final product was a hit. Next time we will drive the hour and a half to the next closest craft store that we know carries...
