My experience here started the way a traveler wants it to; with a local speaking up about the place and directing you here. Usually means a big Win. When entering I am greeted by a smiling young lady who represents the place well. Told her I would like to plug my laptop in and was quickly shown a table with an outlet. The place was busy, which was a bit surprising considering the outright deluge that was happening outside all day long.
Many many times your meal revolves around the person you end up with as a waiter/waitress. I was fortunate, and believe Bandera's is fortunate to have Gary, who was my waiter. He is a Very pleasant fellow who answered all my questions confidently concerning the menu. With his input, I chose the Rattlesteak 16oz cooked medium rare with baked potato and a side salad. The steak arrived so tender I could cut most all of it just with my fork. The Rattlesteak has a chipotle sauce on top, with onions and mushrooms and added great taste to that entre. It is filling, and with the huge baked potato, I had trouble debating with myself as to have dessert or not. No worries, I won the argument.. and again with Gary's input..chose the fried cheesecake. Wow! What a top off to that great meal. Next time through this way, I will surely drive to Bandera's for a meal, knowing they know both, how to prepare a meal, and hire great folks!

Read moreBeing new to the area we were super excited to hear about the local steakhouse. The wonderful lady that greated us at the door was wonderful. We ordered our food. The salads came and were so fresh. Our waitress "Darlene" was excellent. Our steaks came out and it all went south. We ordered MEDIUM one was almost medium on the well side the other was medium well. Sent that one back to receive the replacement RAW!!! We asked for a manager. In hoodie a lady comes to our table with full on attitude. informs my husband it was cooked rare on purpose so they could cook it more. she rolled her eyes like we should have none this procedure. I then address her attitude with her. I also addressed my potatoes were ice cold and had to be sent back and put in the microwave. You pay for a service at a restuarant, them to cook your food right the first time and the all served together with a smile. We recieved sub par food with some eye rolling on the side. I know us never returning will not break the bank but we bring clients in from and we will never take them to a steakhouse that can't cook a steak. Shame Shame on y'all and your lack of...
Read moreBandera's Steakhouse in Eldorado use to be a great place to eat, But y'all just a FYI, It has went down hill. We went and it took us 20 mins to be seated, then 30 mins just to receive a drink, then another 40 mins to get our food.. when we asked what was taking so long a manager came and got rude with us, totally inappropriate. Then when we finally got our food ever single bit of it was cold. So when we went to pay I was trying to tell the manager nicely at first I might add that I would agree to pay for some of our food but not all of it under the circumstances and he became just so ugly.. so I went on to tell him my kids food was cold, mine wasn't right we couldn't get refills on drinks when asked. Just an all around horrible experience. I asked to get the owners information then he tried telling me he was the owner and he didn't wanna see my face in there anymore that we were banned from ever coming back again. I said that's fine, but believe me when I say I will tell everyone about this unprofessional...
