Cavender's Boot City — Local services in El Paso

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Newer to El Paso and never shopped at a cavanders before. My husband needed a cavalry Stetson for an upcoming wedding. When asking a sales associate about cavalry stetsons she took us back to the stetsons and the gentleman working the desk there was too busy loudly socializing with a friend to acknowledge us so she showed us stetsons that were not what we were looking for when they have a display set up for the cavalry stetsons right there... Once we pointed out the display and asked about the Stetson we needed the gentleman wrapped up his conversation and grudgingly began giving us his attention. Then they checked to see if they had my husband's size. They didn't. They offered to order it in his size but said it would take weeks, which we didn't have. I thanked the gentleman working the hat desk for his time and asked him if he knew which other stores in El Paso we could check for his size. He proceeded to tell me that there were no other stores and we'd need to order it from them. Really? You're the only store in a Texas city that sells stetsons? That's a load of bull hokey. Lying is unprofessional and if that's how their employees operate not a place I plan on shopping again. Ignoring a potential customer until you're through with your friends is not good business practice either. We went down the street to Starr Western Wear where we were greeted enthusiastically and quickly and got the same Stetson for nearly 100 dollars less and walked out with it in less...

Really disappointed on our first visit to Cavenders. My mother has been searching for a specific color of boot so we drove 40 minutes out to Cavenders. I took my baby in a stroller. First I had to ask for help to a tall lady with glasses and curly hair, she looked bothered to help us. Then when my mother was trying on boots. Two other employees, a short girl and a tall boy just peeked over and stared. As if we were suspicious. I knew that look coming from being a general manager for over 10 years. I asked the girl if something was wrong after I asked her if she had the blue boot online. She told me that there were just seeing if we needed help ....... But never once approached us to ask if we needed help.

The store looked clean and organized but we are very disappointed in the service. Left me upset. Additionally, Not once...

The one stop shop for all your Western needs. My husband and I were searching for a specific item during the crazy busy holiday season. As we walked in we were kindly greeted by store personnel. From there we were offered their assistance. They walked us to the area and let us know what they had and the different options they had for the item we were looking for. The store has a wide selection of boots, apparel, and accessories for men and woman. They also have a section for children that include footwear, apparel, accessories, stuff animals, toys, books, and other items kids would love. Throughout the time we were they we were asked if we needed help several times but never felt like it was a bother.
