The lame employee working at 12:30 on Wednesday Dec 13 was rude with an ugly attitude. Called a day earlier asking if this figure was in stock as the website showed 2 in the system.
The employee said nope that they were for pre orders only. I placed the order on the site anyway for pickup the next day as it still said 2 in stock despite what they claim they have to fulfill for preorders the site is allowing me to purchase them. Not my problem if someone decides to linger on their pre order.
I went to pickup the figure and the guy at the front checkout was so ugly about “You shouldn’t even be able to order this” “I don’t know why they let you purchase this” and gave me the ugliest bent figure. I kindly asked if I would be able to get another one as the corner was all bent and I knew there were 2 in stock . Read moreI want to bring attention to the misleading tactics GameStop uses to get customers to sign up for their Pro Membership. Promises made at sign-up, such as promotional codes or discounts, are not honored, and canceling the membership is an unnecessarily difficult and frustrating process.
I filed a complaint, but based on my experience, I doubt it will ever reach the right people or lead to any real change. Beware: No matter what they offer you, do not sign up for the Pro Membership. It’s designed to lock you in, making cancellation an exhausting process filled with endless customer service calls and obstacles.
