Hooters — Restaurant in El Paso

I am married to a prior service Hooters waitersss (we met after she had worked there). I've also been to more than 10 different Hooters locations throughout the United States, and by far this has been the worst one. I'm in the Military which in my opinion requires me to be more humble and considerate than the average person because I am representing some thing bigger than myself. I have never posted a review on any establishment I've frequented, this is the first, only because it was that bad. So on a Tuesday evening the wife, one and half year old and I walked through the doors of Hooters Yuma, we stood at the hostess station for six minutes looking in to the restarant filled with maybe 20 customers before the waitress standing at the table next to the station decided to look around and see that we were there. She seated us and was actually going to be our waitress... Yay!!! I let it go and she did everything you would expect her to do...ask us what we would like to drink and explained the happy hour deals. She took our drink orders and went to work. My attitude had changed and I was content again. She came back with my wife's drink and said that my beer was on it's way. 9 minutes later. 9 MINUTES LATER! My beer came to the table and she asked if we would like to order. No opertunity for an appetizer. So I ordered an appetizer anyway. That came out really quickly btw. I also asked for a side of sour cream because very little came on the "lots of tots" we had ordered. The side of sour cream came as we finished the tots because we were tired of waiting. Btw the reason our waitress is so late on things coming in and out of the kitchen is because she was at a table with two single gentlemen in the bar area the entire time envolved in what seemed to be flirting. That's fine I understand it's Hooters and she is working for a good tip. BUT don't forget about the other tables in your section. So she comes back to the table with the sour cream and takes our order, doesn't ask if I want another beer or if my wife would like another drink(yes they were finished). I asked her to refill both and she said no problem. Soooo 6 minutes later after watching her talk to the same two gentlemen she gets my wife's drink, and returns to the same guys table. 13 minutes after that my beer comes to me. Then our food arrives by another two waitresses. My wings were super jacked up. I ordered 20 traditional wings half hot and half medium, all of which were either burnt or had no wing sauce on them. My wife's cheese steak was majorly jacked up as well, like missing half the veggies and cheese it should have had. So the waitress decides to finally make an aperiance and see if we're okay. My wife makes her complaint and the waitress tells my wife she is wrong and that the way she ordered it is the way she got it. Now I'm boiling over mad. So I make a complaint about my wings and she gets the manager who gets everything fixed the way it should be. I also told her I would like another beer. This is number three for me. Time goes by. And by. And by. 16 minutes later she comes to the table and asks us if we'd like desert and I said "no but I'd like my beer!". She replies with "oh they haven't brought you your beer yet?". REALLY!!!? So she brings me the beer that had been sitting in the bar for 20 minutes (I know because it was nearly room temperature). And storms off. So I finish eating and finish my drink. The wife and kid are all done and we wait for our check and some to go boxes. Time just keeps going by and by and by. She walks right past us to seat a table of three gentlemen and doesn't say anything, so my wife speaks up and asks for the check and boxes, I also asked to speak to the manager. I was steaming hot mad! We had been there for an hour and twenty minutes. We are the easiest people to please as far as food and service goes. The manager obliviously knocked a little off the bill and apologized but literally I feel like the same service is going to be provided to others. I literally could not believe how we were treated....

I walked in, in a relatively good mood, and waited at the sign to be seated. There was a man in the way, nearly blocking the door thinking that flirting with one of the girls was going to get him somewhere, I guess. They finally took the guy to a table, allowing for me, my husband, and two kids to actally enter the restaraunt. As I turned to the hostess, she asked me how many in a snotty tone, and due to the sexually explicit music being extremely too loud, I motioned with my hand that we had four. She rolled her eyes, and scoffed at me before taking me on a tour of half the damned restaraunt, stopping to chat with one of the servers along the way, before she finally seated us. Whilst walking behind her, I couldn't help but notice that literally ALL of her ass was hanging out of her shorts. I mean, I expect to see a little cheek, but it looked like she'd have covered more with a thong! We were seated right across from the doorway next to the bar where a hallway entered the kitchen, and there was no door.

I used to work in the food industry, so I know what's acceptable. Their kitchen was ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING! The carpet and floors were stained, there was garbage everywhere, and part of the floor going from one end of the restaraunt, through the kitchen, to the other end of the restaraunt was covered in plywood and was raised just enough that people were tripping over it. The trash can next to where they washed dishes, was spilling out onto the floor, the food caked on the back wall near their sinks was visible from where I sat. The smell of mold or nasty piss soaked fabric was overwhelming, and NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE! The man, I assumed to be the manager came out of the back to mess with the channel on the tv just above our table, and COMPLETELY IGNORED THE MESS IN THE KITCHEN AREA! The staff, including the cooks, were equally as unconcerned about the state of nastiness on the kitchen as when they weren't cooking, they were socializing with other staff members, preferring to kick the trash around as if they were completely oblivious to it being there, instead of picking it up!

Our waitress, I belive her name was Charlotte or charlene, was one of the worst I've had in a long time. It was notably apparent that none of the girls were happy about working there. Not a single one really smiled, they all looked miserable and pissed off, which might explain why they were so rude and inattentive. Our server, came right to our table, which was nice, but she could hardly be heard when she spoke. Okay, fine, no big deal. She didn't really give us a whole lot of time to figure out what we wanted, so, feeling rushed she had already asked us three timed if we were ready to order in a span of about 5 minutes, I just told my husband I would pick at the appetizers he ordered. I was starting to get annoyed at this point. This, to me, was not proper service and though I may be more critical than most due to my experience, it doesn't take a genius to see that there were serious problems with this particular hooters.

So the appetizers come out licketty split, which was great. We got an order of mozz sticks and the texmex nachos. The mozzarella sticks were great, aside from the cheese feeling like it had been rated a few times in the fryer, but the nachos... They looked great upon first glance, but after we got the top few chips off, everything underneath was cold and soggy. There was literally a quarter inch of oil sitting in the bottom of our pan. It wasn't grease from meat, it was straight OIL! Between that and the texture as well as the temperature, I came to the conclusion that we were served old nachos that had been 'fixed up a bit' to make it APPEAR to be fresh.

The server then brought out the meals, which all appeared fine, but after she brought the food out, we didn't see her after that, at all, until another table was seated in our section and one of the other servers had asked if they had been helped after over 5 minutes of being there...you get the gist of it, screw this review, I'm writing...

WORSE SERVICE EVER 2nd time i have been there 1st time i went it was bad today i went it was the worst i will never go back there again. As soon as i arrived i entered the doors and the lady just looked at me and continued to talk to the waitresses. didnt even greet me or nothing i stood there for a good 2-3 mins before she said HOW MAY I HELP YOU i asked her for a table for 2 and a high chair for my daughter she then asked my name as we sat there waiting to be seating the lady continued to chat with the other waitress. Now i know they do get busy but today it was the slowest day theyve had plenty of seats available i had spotted 4 areas were we could have been seated instead of waitin 38 mins to be seated at 1 of the spot i spotted and was already clean. She sat down family of 3 or more that came in behind us before she sat us down. Heres where it gets worse as we sit down the lady takes our drinks comes back 5 mins which was the only good serve we have gotten she takes our order and we wait next thing i know my daughter is sittin there watchin bobs burger i see 3 couples that were seated next to us within maybe 10-15mins getting their meals before we do i had order a philly cheese burger my daughter grill cheese and fries and my girlfriend a bacon burger i hadtold the waitress if she can bring us the fries so my daughter can eat tell me why it took 3 episodes of bobs burger which are 22-25 mins each before we got our meal the waitress didnt even check up on us neither she was walking around talking to the other customers and not once did she come till she saw the look on my face turns out our meals were just sitting there for a while cause once we got our meals they were pretty cold but thats not were i got pissed of what made me more pissed off is that they didn have my daughters food ready n when they brought it it was cold the cheese wasnt even melted on the bun i literally could lift the bread it looked like a ball of clay was just thrown in between the buns to make it seem like it was melted and by then my daughter was already done crying and had fell asleep the only thing the waitress said was im srry about that but didnt bother to offer me a discount or at least a free desert treat for having us wait so long i asked for a manager and what they told me is that the manager is busy to give them 10 mins and they will be right with me. Now i wasnt going to wait 10 more dam mins i waited long enough for the worse service i have ever experienced. i got my food paid my due and didnt bother to give the waitress a tip she didnt deserve it at all with the lack of service she provived what made it worse was that they werent even busy they had more people at the bar just drinking then ordering food alot of seats were opened never understood why i had to wait so long to be seated and get my food but once it came to that check boy was the waitress very quick to get that money. Im dont feel bad at all but for a 2nd appearance at hooters and to be treated the way i did i will never go back there again ever worse service i have see and it is the only hooters in el...
