Harbor Freight — Local services in Elizabeth City

Buyer beware!! Poor quality…..even considering the low cost. In addition, a buyer would be foolish thinking a return or correction is made easy. Their online form requires an order number…..problem is, the order number exceeds the number of digits allowed on the form. It’s obvious, HF has done everything possible to discourage returns….and/or in my case, replacement of missing components of order. My last order….and I do mean last….included the “3 Piece Solar Light Set,” consisting of 3 lighted decorations. The online image (and the container) illustrated a dragonfly, a butterfly, and a hummingbird. The box I received had been opened and the butterfly was missing. According to HF, I have to return the item for credit, but return shipping will not be reimbursed. Very clever, HT. The cost of shipping will exceed the item value, thereby negating appropriate reimbursement, not to mention the time and effort of making the return shipping arrangement. It seems obvious, HF anticipated excessive returns (prompted by poor quality), else why would they make returns so difficult? Btw, my order also included a flashlight. Oh yeh, did I mention that the flashlight was “on” when I opened the box. REAL QUALITY CONTROL, HEY? And how about that CUSTOMER...

Well hello everyone today I had the opportunity to visit harbor freight and I am traveling from out of town they had something that local stores could not provide to me so With that being said I walked into harbor freight today and asked for assistance immediately when I walked in the young lady by the name of candy was so polite and willing to assist she had no issue or standoff attitude with her multitasking skills she speaks with a very polite tone and a smile in her voice I had the opportunity to speak with her manager on duty at the time which I did not capture his name but he was very accepting of the compliments given about the store and the services provided to me if you are ever in the area stop by to say hello they would love to serve you this location is spacious very clean and plenty of parking once again I would like to think the staff for their over and...

If you aren't familiar with Harbor Freight you should get familiar. This isn't the place to buy the tools you make a living off of, but this is the place for the DIY-er that needs a tool ever so often but doesn't want to spend a lot of money. There are tools here that are just flat out steals, and others that are just a waste of money. Do your research, but if go into it knowing that sometimes you'll win, and sometimes you'll lose, you should be happy. The 90 day warranty is your friend, so make sure you save your receipt in case you get a dud!

All that being said, I still purchase a lot of tools from Harbor Freight, and plan to buy more from this store now that I don't have to drive...
