Food Lion — Local services in Elizabeth City

This review is for Food Lion in the old Farm Fresh building location which is the best out of the four store locations in Elizabeth City IMO. That said, the four stars is for the PHARMACY. The employees are nice and the prices are lower than any other pharmacy in the area, at least on my reoccurring prescriptions. There are never more than one or two people on a line at any time that I go to pick up. THREE STARS for the rest of the store. I do like the salad bar which would get four stars from 11 to 1:30 pm when its fresh. TWO STARS AFTER 2 PM. After that time, the employees don't pay attention to the salad bar, and don't always refill it. I went to the salad bar today at 4 pm, some items were emptied, the celery was brown, and the surfaces of protein salads like seafood salad, tuna salad and potato salads were dry and unappetizing. The salad bar is open until at least 6 pm and at 6.99 LB and at least 12.00 or more for an average salad, FOOD LOIN SHOULD DO BETTER. I like this location, but my only problem with this one is self-checkout. There is one lady with long grayish hair who will stand there and watch me while I checkout. There are other people at the other self-checkout lines, but she will ignore them. I'm thinking it's because of my color because today, I was the only person of color at self-checkout and she stood right there looking at me and ignored the other people. This is the second time she's done it. All of the White employees who work at self-checkout do it. I would think they would want to watch everybody, but that's...
