Today's experience was awful. This place has left me disappointed every single time but today I experienced such negligence from representative. As I approached the register I asked cashier (Leslie) if it's possible to pull up my gift card through my phone number or email with attitude she responded that's not possible. I told her I couldn't find the email so I would step to the side to pull up the gift card. I was literally two steps away from the register and took me approx. 10-15 min to pull up the gift card email. When I turn my back I see a male at the register to whom I ask if he knows where the pants I left on counter were placed and he said "you can ask her, I just got here." As I approach Leslie at third register and ask about pants she rolled her eyes and said "pants were put back" and I told her I had asked her to give me a minute while I pulled up the email. (Mind you, luckily I found three pants of proper size for my son and there were no more, desperately needed those pants.) she responded " we are not allowed to hold items for long" I went back to shelves to look for pants, nowhere to be found. Out of malice the pants were probably not even placed back on shelf and just thrown into the bucket of items returned to their place behind the registers. Rude, unhelpful and very inconsiderate. Shopping with a special needs child can become a bit difficult as they become bothered or restless in certain environments. I no longer had the patience to stroll through a store full of people and zero walking space to find those three pants. Thanks for your help Leslie, you made it a wonderful shopping experience at The Children's Place. I avoided that thinking she was just having a bad day and I continued to be polite. The part that threw me off was when she signed for me after I inserted my credit card. She signed on the credit card pad on my behalf without my permission. Judging by the way she did it, it looks like she may be doing this a lot possibly to "speed" things up. Whatever, the reason being this is not acceptable. I asked her "why did you think it was okay to sign for me". She stared in shock and asked " what do you mean". Yes, the clothes are cheap and yes, people are likely to buy no matter what. However, the staff here is extremely rude and could not care less about the customers. The store is already crowded and tight, and today, the staff was restocking and moving stuff around. No problem, that happens during work hours, but treating customers like they are in the way or being a bother is inexcusable. The store opens at 10am, there's plenty of time in the morning to restock and move shelves. And if it can't be done before open hours, then you give customers priority in the store, not vice versa. ...
