Dos Cyotes always never disappoints. I have been going gear for years now, ordering a variety of food items including limited a time items they only make at this location. Being the best Tex-Mex food in town, the flavors of the food resemble something more unique compared to classic Mexican restaurants. Although the rice may not be orange like Spanish rice it is still extremely delicious and unique that is made with corn and carrots, but trust me it is worth trying at least once. Dos Cyotes is great for dining by yourself or for a takeout meal to enjoy elsewhere. They have a salsa bar in-which every salsa and topping is prepared freshly everyday. My personal favorite salsa is the spicy pico de gallo. Chips are always served alongside your meals as well. In recent times I've ordered the market burrito(chicken breasts, rice, beans, salsa), side of black beans and rice, limited a time elote, side of taquitos, and the Ranchero burrito(southwest burrito with sauce on top). I recommend this place as a healthier pick for lunch or dinner, staff is always...
Read moreVery young immature staff. One of our friend's order came out wrong and the server was passive aggressive about fixing it. When told what the order should be she said she would fix it but then didn't. Came back with another order wrong. And didn't fix that one either. Then fixed an order but the wrong one. Initial order was never corrected. Then came back and said the order was correct all along. What it came down to after 4 or 5 times of going back and forth was what was ordered and what was entered into the ordering system. The server's position was that our friend must of given the order incorrectly at the register. Really made our whole experience a negative one. Will not be back. Finally our friend just gave up and ate what they brought out even though it was not what...
Read moreThis review is biased because Dos has been my absolute favorite place to grab take-out since they first opened in Davis many moons ago. I was delighted that there was this location in Elk Grove when we moved here. The service and food here is always satisfying. Never have I ever regretted a dollar spent on Dos! My go-to meal w/o overthinking the new, in-season items is the Ranchero Chicken Burrito. There is something on the menu for for everyone in the family-the kids under 10 usually get the kids' quesadilla or the kids' chicken and rice plate. Re: the atmosphere: I love it but the noise level is too much for my sensory sensitive child-though it hasn't been an issue because I do the take-out option anyhow. And w/COVID-19 in effect, just grab your...
