New York Pizza - Elk Grove Florin Rd — Restaurant in California

I always feel a bit of excitement, hearing "New York Pizza" in a new town. Pizza is my passion and a great New York style pie is the pinnacle of pizza pleasure. Unfortunately, this pizza was a spectacular disappointment. Maybe this is upstate New York Pizza? New York City style pizza, it is not. It's barely passable as pizza.

As I sat savoring this sad-looking slice, I found myself reminded of a roadside struggle pizza I had in a gas station once, the kind that sits out looking miserable but possibly edible under those heat lamps. Dried-out, overcooked, and sat in the open air all day. The pepperoni was dry and lacking flavor, the chopped garlic was burnt to a deep brown. We had a thick and thin crust, both were equally meh. Poor texture, no taste. The sauce is a cooked tomato - almost no tomato flavor, heavy on the herbs. The cheese is rubbery and unpleasant, as well. I wish I had something positive to say about this pie, but there wasn't...

Been coming here for years and I’ve had enough bad experiences to where I’m never coming back. Today I ordered my pizza and they forgot to add one of the toppings before they cook the pizza. Instead of remaking the entire pizza, she crumples up some extra salami and throws it on after the pizza was already cooked. I ordered another pizza done correctly but paid for both without making an issue. The second pizza I got was rushed through the oven and super skimpy on the toppings. All in all I ended up paying $40 for two pizzas that are absolutely not what I wanted… this place is a letdown constantly, and there’s never any acknowledgment from the staff when something is wrong. They love to take your money and treat you like you don’t exist.

I used to really stick up for this business and now I am definitely a hater of New York Pizza on Elk Grove florin road. Your customer service is terrible and you treat your customers...

I have been coming to New York Pizza on elk Grove florin Road for years i’ve always thought they’ve had a great product for a great price until this business sold the new owners that have been there for a couple of years so I have continued to do business here until now they Have no idea how to run a business. I understand businesses have expenses what I don’t understand is how The owner of this business tries to hustle you over the phone and charge you a higher price than what he advertises also also tries to charge you for condiments after you’ve spent $80 or more I would encourage anybody that wants good customer service and quality product for what they spend their money on to not go here this...
