La Fiesta Meat Market — Restaurant in California

I've been going to this mom and pop market/deli for about a year now. There are basically four different sections to the store:\

1. fresh veggies and cold case immediately to your right as you enter. Here you will find a modest selection of vegetables (onions, jalapenos, serranos, tomatillos, cilantro and the like. They also frequently have excellent nopales leaves (wonderful grilled brushed with olive oil and seasoned with salt). They frequently have a selection of house-made salsas, ceviches and nopalitos salads. I'had one of the salsas and the nopalitos salad-- both excellent.
2. There are dry and canned goods located on a central island (and behind the counter). I've purchased a couple of kinds of michelada mixes-- both very good; some hot sauces and both red and green achiote-- this is the only place I've found in Sac that carries achiote verde!.
3. There is a meat counter at the back of the store that carries a pretty impressive selection of meats: basa catfish fillets, flap meat (great for grinding into hamburger, which you convert into butter burgers....), coarsely chopped al pastor pork, marinated coarsely ground chuck for tacos (seasoned and unseasoned), chicken chopped and seasoned for fajitas and a lot, lot more. Everything I've tried has been excellent quality and reasonably priced.
4. The food prep area in the way back. You place your order at the meat counter (or online...) and your order is ready really quickly. Some examples: a burrito you will not be able to finish in one sitting for less than $7. Your choice of meat. Mild or spicy. They mean spicy. Three crunchy tacos (carnitas or chicken-- mild or spicy) for $4.99. For about the price of three lousy crunch tacos at Taco Bell, you get excellent, excellent tacos dorados that will really satisfy you. Service is very friendly. My favorite Mexican spot in Elk Grove and they do great catering business too. It's a little overwhelming when you first go there because it's inside of a smaller Mexican market but the food is legit. You can order online ahead of time if you know what you want. We've always been happy with the food and have also used them for catering and it was fantastic! The catering packages come with suggested breakouts based off party size and you can scale up choices for different meat options. They were able to help us on short notice to provide an amazing spread at our daughter's birthday party! Only star I knocked was just for the physical space is small so it can be difficult when a lot of people are in there ordering and picking up at the same time but the staff is great and super nice.
