I have been in the Rogers/Otsego/Elk River community for 23 years, I re-started my journey riding motorcycles in 2010. My first experience with the Harley Davidson family was very impressionable. I fell back in love riding motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidson motorcycles. Over the years I have purchased four motorcycles from the Harley Davidson dealership in Elk River. Each time my experience with staff renewed my love of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Recently, the dealership in Harley Davidson in Elk River has come under new ownership. I wasn’t sure how that would impact the “family feel” I always had when I walked through those doors. I wasn’t sure if I would get the same customer service with the new ownership. To my surprise once again they exceeded my expectation.
There are some familiar faces like Darin, Caitlin, Arron, and Ranee. This time around Jordan and Matt where new faces I was periviliaged to get to know. Jordan and Matt worked with me to get a great value for Deluxe. I will say I loved that Deluxe and it was very hard to part with it.
I was looking an a used Street Glide, scheduled an appointment but Jordan had other ideas for me. He worked with me to get into a new 2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide Atlas Silver. He showed me the bike and instantly, I fell in love with it. Jordan worked his magic and was able to get me where I was hoping to be with payments. During that time Matt worked with me to review all the new features of the bike. Jordan and Matt really made me feel comfortable and like a big part of the Harley Davidson family. I enjoyed Matt stories with his stunt riding friend and the awesome videos he took were amazing. Jordan talked to me about the rides he and his girlfriend had been taking and showed me some options that I should explore in town.
These are the things that differentiate Elk River Harley Davidson from other dealerships I have visited throughout the Minnesota and the United States. I don’t want to make it sound like I have had bad experiences with other dealerships because that is just not true. I go off the notion that, “home is where you hang your hat” Elk River Harley Davidson is definitely where I hang my hat.
I encourage those who are thinking about getting into motorcycling and if you are in the areas, stop by. The staff at Elk River HD will take care of you!
Thanks again! I had the bike for 2 days and already have 200 smiles on it!
Hope to see you all...
Read moreLet me say this first, I don’t give reviews to just anybody, but these people were the absolute best!
My story starts off when I was just looking for a bike to get back in, I knew I wanted the sportster, I knew that I wanted the 1200 all the way, I didn’t want anything else,
I originally applied to one of the twin cities Harley dealerships and got absolutely ghosted the moment I wasn’t pre approved with their application, and I really do mean completely ghosted, absolutely gutted me and made me honestly think I wouldn’t at all be able to get a bike that I wanted,
But then in comes two gentlemen by the names of big hoss (never asked how he spells it), and Austin aka bone, they messaged me! They showed me the sportster iron 883 and yes it was smaller than what I originally wanted, but it already had all of the upgrades that I wanted to do to what ever bike I got, and I’m serious about everything, so I did, I decided to lower my needs for a bike to be able to save money and have what I was going to do, already on the bike.
But I did still have reservations that I was not gonna be able to get approved because I knew my credit was bad. I just didn’t know how bad it was.
So I took the leap and I gave Elkriver all my information and they took it and they ran with it and they got me approved, They Fought for me to be able to get me approved for this bike, Even after I got approved, they didn’t give up because multiple things happened after I got approved that continuously slowed down me being able to actually take possession of the bike, but none of it was their fault, I was finally able to take possession of my bike today and I am absolutely 100% happy with my purchase and I am 100% happy to say that I am willing to continue to make a 100 mile trip each direction just to go to this one dealership to be able to get any of my service needs taken care of, And honestly, possibly upgrading my bike after that I get this one paid off and fix my credit.
I 100% recommend elk River Harley Davidson for all of your Harley Davidson needs and if you do have bad credit that you actually want to work on and you can prove it to them that you want to work on It and have a second chance at rebuilding your financial success then I recommend you come to these guys and talk to them about possibly...
Read moreThis last summer in June I purchased my dream Harley I’ve been saving up for 7 years. It’s a 2017 Street Glide. I had a lot of issues with this dealership (and corporate) and feel like they need to be expressed. One of the things I requested when I bought my bike BRAND NEW was to have the decals removed off of the gas tank. In the process of removing them they put a scratch/dent in the tank. I also paid extra for black front forks (they’re silver on the stock bike). After riding it for a few weeks they accumulated lots of paint chips from rocks on the road (as you can see it wasn’t just a couple, they were covered in chips). Now this was only on a small part of the forks. Maybe a 1/3 of them. The rest of the forks and everything else on the front of the bike did not chip (at all). So clearly there was a defect in the paint or the protective coating on that portion of the forks. When I addressed these issues to the dealership they said that they would not fix them. They said that the dent in the tank was already there from the manufacturer and since the decal covered it up they didn’t have to fix it. They said that it was my fault for riding too close to other vehicles and the chips in the paint was my fault and that they weren’t liable to fix them. I talked to the service manager multiple times and called corporate multiple times to have them fixed. They said no. Even after I showed them pictures of what happened. Finally I got the GM of the dealership involved and he agreed that these issues needed to be addressed. So while I finally got everything fixed, it took me 4 MONTHS, hours and hours on the phone and multiple trips to the dealership. For spending the amount of money that I did on a brand new Harley, I shouldn’t have to accept a chip in the tank or faulty paint on the front forks. I was also sold a windshield that was too short (I couldn’t return it and was almost $200) and I was told that the money I put into the engine would produce more power than it dyno at (I would have not spent that extra $3000 if I knew it would have put out half of what they told me). This review is more geared towards the Elk River Harley Davidson than it is at HD as whole. If you’re going to purchase anything or get anything serviced, go anywhere else than the Elk...
