So I just recently got engaged a little over a week ago so yesterday was my first wedding shopping trip. I first went to Stephensons and found a dress that I adored but it wasn’t a price I favored. I’m not a bride who has a lot of money to throw around and who wants to be practical about money. So I gave the lady a small budget number and you could tell she was not pleased. She pulled dresses for me without really taking my style or size into account and was having me SQUEEZE into lower budget dresses that were clearly too small for me and saying things like “oh that fits you well” when I could tell by how I felt and by my back spilling out of the back of them that that was not the case. I don’t understand why there is no mirror in the dressing room so you can view the dresses privately instead of in front of everyone. That was a big turn off to me on top of the fact that she was making me feel fat. Now I know I am overweight but I don’t need a bridal consultation to make me feel that way. You shouldn’t feel that way when you are shopping for a wedding dress. I felt like I was being stuffed into a sausage casing, the dresses were so tight I walked out feeling nauseous and with a pounding headache. Will not be going back. The only positive is that she was willing to mark down her dresses to fit my budget. But she was also willing to wordlessly fat shame me in order to get me into them. I would give this experience less than one...

I purchased my wedding dress from elegant designs and I could not be happier with the results! The service was exceptional! I wouldn’t call myself a “bridezilla” but I was very particular with what I was looking for. I didn’t struggle one bit with finding the perfect dress for me. Noraima carefully listened to what I was looking for and honestly the first dress she pulled for me to Try on ended up being the one I chose, after trying three more first Haha. The guys “Donnie & Armando” were so kinda. They helped me with alteration decisions and made sure I was able to access my dress to try it on whenever I needed. I had a few bad impression from previous dress shops and not once did I ever get a bad impression from this shop. They are the kindest people and would do whatever it takes to make you feel like a beautiful princess on your wedding day. Not only did they help me they also helped my grand mother and two aunt find dresses to wear as guests at my wedding. The dress selection at elegant design is like no other store! The detail in their dresses are stunning and once you try them, it will be so hard to find anything that even come into the range as one of their gown. The dresses there are really unique and I received so many compliments on mine. It doesn’t compare to the high quality service that elegant design offers. Donnie and Armando are fantastic. Being a larger girl have never felt beautiful and dreading wedding dress shopping until shopping at elegant design. They really know how to make any person regardless of size feel and look beautiful. I am so thankful for the experience and for the team there! Google only allows 5 stars but this store is worth 10! Thank you for making me feel so beautiful on the best day of my life!
