We booked the Family Room, which included 2 queens + bunk beds. The room is just under 1000sf. We did not use all of the beds, but we wanted more room to stretch out and relax a bit. We also thought that this would be a luxurious trip, based on the photos and write up of the hotel. Plus, it's a historical hotel. Tapestry Collection by Hilton. This inferred that it would be elegant and an upgrade from a usual Hilton experience.||The room was a large, normal room with bare amenities. The layout was poor. The room had very few outlets and lighting. It was quite dark in the room. We requested another lamp, eventually. ||The room did not include a dresser or an extra sink, not even next to the coffee maker. The table near the corner couch was too tall to use as a workstation, while sitting on the couch. The TV was in front of the 2 beds so everyone had to sit on the beds to watch it instead of on the couch. We don't usually sit in our beds to watch TV. No microwave, as most Hiltons have.||No one thanked us for being Diamond Members at check-in or otherwise. Nothing was mentioned about breakfast times, or where the gym was or anything about the hotel when we check in. The is actually a bar in the hotel, but we didn't find out about it until we walked around the hotel the next day after breakfast.||Our room had crushed chips under the table when we arrived. That was not vacuumed until we said something to the housekeeping staff a day later. I mentioned it at checkout and the young lady said that she would inform the Housekeeping manager. No adjustments were made for the inconvenience. If the floor was not vacuumed, was the rest of the room cleaned appropriately?||The poor lady at breakfast has her hands full. Like our room, "Relish" is spread out and makes it difficult to collect food from the buffet. If you order food, you will wait a very long time. Other than the oatmeal, the food was pretty good. It would be nice if condiments were out and then the one lady could tend to other things.||On the positive side of things, the bed, pillows, sheets and towels were lovely! They felt luxurious. The bathroom was a good size, but one sink. The coffee maker was nice and made pretty good coffee. It was not the usual Keurig. It used grounds. It took a little time to figure it out. No room odors. Yay!||Elkhart is a small town. Pretty quiet, as least when we were there.||The photos online are pretty much what the room...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the Hilton Tapestry Hotel in Elkhart, IN, and we were blown away by our experience! The hotel was immaculate—everything was so clean and well-maintained, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Despite there being a large number of guests, including many high school-age visitors, it was remarkably quiet. We had two of the best nights of sleep we've ever had, so much so that we're planning to find out the model of mattress they use!
The Corner restaurant was also phenomenal. I had the best burger I've ever had, cooked perfectly to order, and my husband loved the fettucine alfredo. Friends with us enjoyed the wedge salad and French onion soup, and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. The service was fast, friendly, and the food was top-notch. It wasn't just a great hotel restaurant; it was a great restaurant, period. If I lived in Elkhart, I would definitely eat here again, whether or not I was staying at the hotel.
The concierge was a pleasure during check-in, making the process quick and easy, even during a busy time. The next day, she remembered us and even asked about our business in town, which was a lovely touch. My husband also enjoyed the breakfast, and we found the parking garage very convenient, just steps from the back door.
I would not hesitate to stay at the Hilton Tapestry again and highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreTo start let me say that it was July 4th that I stayed at this hotel. Also let me say that I have stayed at Hilton tapestry hotels in the past and enjoyed them. We were stopping here to breakup a 20 hour road trip and liked that there was a rooftop bar and restaurant on site so that we could just stay in after the first 10 hours of driving. The website listed the hours for both establishments and they both had no indications that they were closed also my email confirmation listed the restaurant as an amenity. When we arrived we learned that the restaurant and both bars were closed for the fourth. The front desk person gave us a list with 6 within walking distance places to eat all of which were also closed. We were able to go to the top floor to watch some fireworks the roof was locked but it appears that they have a small portable bar there and it looks like it is only open for functions, which is not how it is described on the website. Even the small places in town had their hours updated to show closed for the fourth, I would have chosen a less expensive hotel at the half way point and ordered food in if they had made it known that all services...
