Thompson Gallery-Custom Framing — Attraction in Elkhart

March, 2019: When my wife and I had another custom framing project, we thought long and hard about whether to return to Thompson’s given our previous experience. Ultimately we decided to do so as we strongly believe in supporting local businesses. When we learned that Thompson's was under new ownership, we were thrilled! The new owner, Jason (formerly a ‘beer slinger’ at Iechyd Da), was great. He kept in good contact with us during the process and compel4ted the project for a reasonable cost. We’re glad to once again have a local business to get our framing done.

2018: My wife & I took three items to be framed - two maps & a print of Notre Dame cathedral. All were from books or newspapers published in the 1890s. Ron did a beautiful job of framing, but overall attention to detail was lacking.

First, he said he would call us with a price. Instead, I got a call four days later saying that the items were done. The pricing was in line with my expectations, but the experience was not what was promised.

When we picked the items up today, he had inadvertently framed the opposite side of one of the maps (shows France instead of Ireland). While it is still beautiful, it's not what we brought in (the map of Ireland had been matted by the shop in Boston where we purchased and the map of France was not visible). While he looked taken aback by his error, there wasn't even an apology made.

Recently I wanted to frame some special pictures for my wife's birthday. I went to a couple of the big box stores to get pricing and a time frame. I quickly realized there was no way I would have this gift ready for her birthday. Then a friend recommended Thompson Gallery. This was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Jason cares for his customers and puts a lot of emphasis on the art, frame in all. I was able to turn my art in and Jason worked hard to get it done for my wife, the week of Thanksgiving. Buy local people! Jason was awesome to work with, he cared, he stayed late so my wife could get her present on time. I can't say enough. I have 2 more pieces that need framed and I will absolutely use Thompson Gallery...

Customer service was great and end product was Fabulous!!!

Our office moved to a new location with dramatically different decor. Our staff loved the prints from our previous office but they had a very dated look.

I talked with the the owner of Thompson's about new office decor and he worked with me to bring the prints to life for our new space.
