Passing through town and we stopped for dinner. Sorely disappointed. Chips and salsa served before the meal left much to be desired. Chips were over cooked in the fryer. They Only a few vegetarian options, so I tried the special….some cactus dish. I’m always up for trying new vegetarian foods. Was not good, cactus was slimy and crunchy and the red sauce was sour, Spanish rice was mushy, black beans were bitter and sour. I left the plate untouched except those little first bites. Wasn’t even willing to try another dish considering how poorly this one was made. Husband ordered steak fajitas. Steak was cut with the grain so it was super chewy, eew, tasted burnt and bland,. Also ordered a tostada. The tostada shell came soggy and with enough lettuce to make a full salad. Told the waitress she could take my food away, she left it there the entire time. Received the bill, my untouched dinner was still there waiting to be paid for. Paid the bill in full and left a $2 tip. Adios Amigos, can’t recommend this restaurant ever a little bit. (Below it says I recommend the tomato soup, I really don’t but it won’t let me post without a...

The tacos were perfect. Like, if you asked a tortilla to reach its full potential in life, this is what it would become. And the chicken—it wasn’t just chicken. It was the type of chicken that makes other chickens question their life choices.
Now let’s talk about that salsa. I don’t know who made it, but they were clearly on a mission. It was spicy, but not like “call an ambulance” spicy. More like it tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Hey man, wake up. Life’s exciting.” And it had flavor, too—not just heat for the sake of heat. It’s the kind of salsa that probably pays taxes and volunteers on weekends.
La Santa, you’ve got it figured out. I’ll be back. Even if I have to pretend I forgot...
Read moreLeft very disappointed. Service was poor. Server forgot our non-alcoholic drinks, so when the food arrived, we had to remind him. Then he forgot my partner’s meal. When we asked about her meal, a plain cheese quesadilla, he hadn’t even wrote it down. He proceeded to tell us we didn’t order the quesadilla when in fact we made it very clear she wanted a plain cheese quesadilla without any toppings. He apologized said he got confused with my order of the quesabirrias and asked if we still wanted her cheese quesadilla he’ll bring it out and would only take a couple minutes. We said sure. When her meal finally came out… it was a bean quesadilla with all the toppings. Twice we explained we wanted a plain quesadilla, just cheese. It was very frustrating and disappointing. The salsa they serve with the chips was good. However, the beans, rice, quesabirrias, tostada and bean quesadilla...
