I would give them 1 star but don’t really wanna mess up their 5.0 review. I was very excited to find out that in my home state there was a museum with movie cars. Very cool, what’s not to love? But the first issue I encountered was their website has very limited info. No prices listed and no info on what cars may be on display that day/week. So I reached out to them and had somewhat timely responses however the responses seemed to be written by a 10 year old. Poor grammar, lack of punctuation and didn’t go into specifics.
So if you’re curious and you want to rent one of these cool cars, be warned! You can do an in-house shoot which is pretty cool, I’m not sure how much that cost, a few hundred. But if you wanted to have one of their vehicles transported to a location for a photo shoot or whatever, it is approximately $750 which I mean it’s a horrible price, I was expecting thousands.
But the down side you cannot drive them. I mean I get they’re irreplaceable but $750 essentially just for a big prop. It’s worth it if you’re rich. But basically you’d be paying for a big prop to take a few pictures and end up with $750 photos. Is a photo really worth it? And I guess they have to be present with the car the entire time because they wanna know how long you want it. Maybe I’m just delusional but I was hoping to have one of their cars an entire day, by myself to drive around and pretend I own it. They should really add on their website that these cars can be rented but not driven along with prices.
It would have saved me the time wasted contacting them and the time wasted bragging to my friends I was going to rent one of these movie cars for a day and could drive them around in it. How freaking embarrassing and disappointing.
But would recommend if you want a really pretty picture that costs a lot.
(And a side note I think it’s pretty gross when you look up their hashtag on Instagram most of their photos are of half naked women posing with their cars. Like not graduation pics, no baby pics, the only thing people can think to photograph with their cars are half...
Read moreA fun experience for the family- though I called beforehand to ask if they really had the car from back to the future. They told me they had both the delorean from back to the future, as well as Marty’s truck. It wasn’t until after I paid admission for the three of us that I came to learn that the delorean they had in there is not from the movie, and is actually just a replica. They literally built it inside of the building. I also never saw Marty’s truck. Super anticlimactic. I am not a fan of dishonest marketing.
Thank you for reimbursing my money! My apologies for mistakenly missing Marty’s truck, was it properly labeled? Is it from the movie or is it a replica? Replicas are inherently replicated, not originals “from the movie.” I guess we are going to still have to agree to disagree here, because your explanatory response still feels like you’re trying to deceive me. At least it was a 1:1 replica. You could have had a hot wheels replica in your museum and claimed the same thing though. If you’re not explicitly defining a replica as a replica, you are being deceptive imho. Thanks again for the reimbursement, and I hope this inspires you to be more considerate of your verbiage. You are the experts with the museum, I am the consumer....
Read moreSo this is a bit late, but I remembered I wanted to place a review, (something I rarely do) when looking at the hoodie I bought there Sunday. But it reminded me of the young woman named Jessica, at the counter she was by herself. She was very enthusiastic about the experience of seeing all the famous vehicles and felt like she was proud to work there. I walked by many times and seen gloomy somber faces or faces in their phones (not very inviting.) Well, I had family in town and decided to go to the mall. I hadn't intended on going into Rodz and Bodz but she was smiling ear to ear when we walked by. So I stopped and asked if my company wanted to see the vehicles just because she smiled, it was so inviting. She was so pleasant and such a delight to talk too. She knew her stuff as well! What a cheerleader for your business! I work in tourism as a destination developer, and we always talk about going above and beyond in customer service. This is what will sell your destination, and it's like building a team-- you need all the right ingredients to build the culture that will sell itself. If she's not managing, she should. Just an absolute joy! Oh ya, the cars were awesome but it was her enthusiasm and knowledge of the cars that sealed...
