Staples — Local services in Ephrata

I went in here for an Amazon return. I walked in and went to the wrong spot. I asked the man there if this is where I do returns. He looked at me, rolled his eyes, and in a very rude way, said “Um, by all the signs that say Amazon returns” and I laughed it off and said “oh, sorry” and he was angry and shook his head. By the register where the returns are, a very nice guy Bill was running the section. The rude man from the other counter came over and was annoyed that Bill had a line. And of course, he is now the one doing my return. I got to look at his name tag, his name is Andres. An older white male. He was so disrespectful, complained at every move I made, and was so unkind. I handed him the box, and he shoved it back to me and mumbled under his breath, “I don’t need the box”. I didn’t hear him, and said “what?” and he shoved it again and said “I DON’T NEED THE BOX. TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX”. Also, I had both items in the box, but he threw a fit when they weren’t separated to his liking. I’m a laugher and don’t take things too seriously, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. I typically go to UPS for returns, but went to this Staples because it was the most convenient. Unnecessarily rude . Stopped in to return fed ex package after seeing online that fed ex ships out of staples . I asked if I could ship it out lady behind counter says this is fed ex and we don’t do that here I simply asked oh are you sure I just looked it up and it says here fed ex does

Then as I’m like oh ok it says here “simply drop off at staples and fed ex will take care of the rest” she just ignores me and walks away . Lady I don’t know why it says that either and the rude ness was so unnecessary and annoying . Even my 11 year old son was like what was that about and why was she so mad at you as we were leaving .

All you had to say was “ oh im sorry for the confusion yea we dont ship fed ex unfortunately. I can help with ups and I think there is fed ex drop box around the corner here. “ or like literally anything except for whatever that was ....

Visited today soon after 9 with interest in buying a suite of home office furniture. We appeared to be the only customers. One employee was outdoors when we arrived and there were two that we saw on the sales floor; while they must have seen us enter we were not greeted. We were there about fifteen minutes in the furniture dept. One male employee walked by us as we were closely examining the underside of a desk. When we left, he and another associate were gossiping at the check out. She did stop chatting long enough to wish us a good day.
