I have been a customer at this store location in the past and it was good, BUT my most recent experience has been trash. I brought in my items to be sold and was told “you’re second in line and will take about 20-30 minutes”. Okay, that sounds about right. I looked around the store and usually by the time I am done browsing, so is the buyer who looks through my things. 30 minutes passed by and my stuff was untouched. Okay. A total of 45 minutes now passed by and again, none of my stuff was accessed. I approached the counter and asked for an update and the young girl working with no eye contact replies, “yeah I am going to work on it right now.” I walked around the plaza. Now, I am waiting in my car and I noticed other sellers who came in AFTER me were bringing out their laundry baskets and trash bags of clothes. And I confirmed this because I asked one of the sellers if their stuff was looked at it and she replied yes. I am obviously upset at this point. I went in the store again, at this time, It’s been over 1.5 hours since I dropped off my stuff and the buyer was actually and physically accessing my items this time. We did the exchange and after the transaction, I requested to speak to the person in charge-it was the buyer and her name tag said “Team Lead”. I respectfully suggested not to quote people a “30 minute wait time” if they are going to take hours, the team lead/buyer instantly got offended, again no eye contact, speaking over me, and very dismissive about my concern and started making excuses about “short staffed, it got busy, you could come back before 9pm to pick up your stuff or in 24 hours, etc.” My simple suggestion they should be real and tell people it will take 2-3 hours so they don’t wait around “30 minutes” and waste their time, MY time.
I will not be doing my business here again. The place has changed like everyone said. I read the reviews after my recent experience and they are unfortunately all true.
Beware to those who are still trying to sell here and them quoting you “20-30 minutes”. Don’t hold...
Read moreYesterday I bought a very cute necklace. It was 4 dollars which I felt was a good price for the design and how durable it seemed. However, that night I went home to take off the tag which was covering the clasp of the necklace, and the clasp, being cheap and not at all in character with the price I bought it at, fell apart. I simply went to unclasp the necklace so I could put it on and it fell completely apart. I was obviously bummed and sad but realized that the receipt they gave me allowed me to return it. So this morning I went back with the tag, all the parts of the necklace, and the receipt and asked to return it. They said that accessories were not returnable and I could not exchange the necklace. Essentially, they were not willing to take the necklace back with or without a refund. Not only did they make an unhappy customer but ensured a scammy appearance. The necklaces hanging up had their clasps covered by the tag and we were not allowed to try any accessories on before purchase. The only things we were allowed to return were clothing items in which they already had a dressing room that you could try on your items. So their return policy is basically worthless. The things that you can’t try on or you need a bit of an extended time to test the quality were not available for returns. And even more so, this was not made known to me as a customer when I bought my accessory. With the necklace on the receipt I assumed that everything I had bought was returnable. If I could give Plato’s closet one star I would. This place is a scam...
Read moreI tried to sell clothes I had never worn before (tags still on) and they wouldn't take any of it. They say that it's out of a 12-13 month period, yet I bought the clothes in the last year. An item (white shorts) that looked almost exactly like a picture they showed me of what they were looking for, they wouldn't take because the shorts had a mark and needed to be washed and brought back. The mark was not there when I brought the shorts in and looked like they had been stepped on or brushed against a dirty counter.
On top of that, it didn't seem like anyone wanted to help me. The main person kept taking people before me and giving an excuse for why she couldn't take me and when there was no one she could take before me, she passed me on to her co-worker, twice! When I returned after the 30 minutes, she asked my first name. Gave it. She asked my last name. Gave it. She still stared at her computer and asked for my ID as if I wasn't in the system, but I had received a text message from them as I was walking in. I went to my car, grabbed my ID, walked back into the store, and in the span of
