Wow, I am shocked at how good this place is! This is my new favorite ramen place! When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how cute it was inside. They have beautiful art murals on every wall. Then our server, Aaliyah, showed us our table. My wife and I have really never been to a ramen place before, so we asked for recommendations. Aaliyah broke down the menu quick and easy for us to understand, and our party of three all ended up ordering the Animal Lovers Ramen. We also ordered a side of fried rice and two sides of Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts came out first and they were HEAVENLY, WOW. If I could eat an entire meal of just Brussel sprouts, I would be so estatic! Our fried rice and then ramen came next. I didnt get to try the fried rice yet, but all of us LOVED our vegan ramen! Im not vegan, but it was delicious! I 100% recommend this restaurant! Our server, Aaliyah, was so nice, too! Even the cooks said goodbye to us as we were the last guests leaving the building for the night. You definitely NEED to try...
Read moreI was unfortunately very disappointed with this ramen shop. I was very excited to try this place since it was the only real ramen shop in Escondido so it was a huge let down after dining there.
We got the spicy ramen and BST ramen. Spicy one was okay but I felt extremely underwhelmed with the BST. The broth just felt like it was really lacking in flavor which for a tonkatsu ramen is shocking. They do offer spice bombs but at a 1.75 I felt like that was high. I also feel that a ramen should be delicious without a spice bomb.
I also made the mistake of ordering extra noodles. I normally do this as I often run out of noodles before broth. Unfortunately to my error it was 5.50 for extra noodles. It was quite a shock when the bill came. It was my error as I misread the menu but being someone who loves extra noodles $5.50 for extra noodles is a big determining factor for me.
I love ramen so I'm very disappointed that I will be marking this as a never to return rather than a regular place I...
Read moreService is courteous, friendly, and welcoming. We came on a Tuesday at lunchtime. My toddler wanted ramen after school so we ordered the Miso Ramen ($16), chicken karaage ($8), and a salmon onigiri ($5). No lunch specials, but they do offer a kids menu. There wasn’t any wait as food came out under 5 minutes. The karaage was very large and mostly breading and fat. The ramen was disappointing in noodle texture and overall portions, with one paper thin slice of charsiu, and had an off putting taste of spoiled vegetables and a rotten egg. I’m currently on day 2 of an upset stomach and Imodium. I had a bathroom emergency while on my drive home after leaving. My little one shared the ramen broth and noodles without the vegetables, but has been pretty flatulent. On the plus side, I was able to try the onigiri later in the evening and enjoyed it without too much trouble. This was not my first visit, but I don’t think I’d return...
