Please for the love of god, do not shop here anymore. I just had a HORRIBLE experience with one of the ladies there that treated us terribly.
I placed a pick up order for 2 bags of dog food, like I do every single month, and I always do curbside pick up because I have 3 kids. This month, I forgot about my order and I had received an email LAST NIGHT saying my order would be canceled that evening if I didn’t come pick it up and they would begin processing my refund. So I thought, ok, no problem. I’ll let them process the refund and I’ll come back again another time to get the food because I already had one bag still here at home. This evening around 6, I got an email saying “Your order has been picked up!” And I thought that was strange. So I called, and a lady spoke with me and started looking into it and then she tells me a man came and grabbed it and I said no, that’s not possible because my husband and I are both at home and that makes no sense because the order was suppose to be canceled yesterday anyways. She quickly says “give me your number and I’ll call you right back”…I didn’t hear from her for over an hour so I call again and ask what the status is because I’m so confused. To even pick up the food, I have to put that I’m on my way in my app, which again, the order was suppose to be canceled that prior evening according to the email THEY sent me. She proceeds to tell me that they looked at the camera and that some man came in and asked for my order specifically, and grabbed it? I’m sorry, how does that make any sense? No one knows about the order except me and my husband and we’re both at HOME. They gave my order to some random man, without checking ANY form of id. You would think a simple refund would be appropriate. But no, she tells me she spoke with her GM and that I now have to call customer service to dispute this. YOU GUYS WERE SUPPOSE TO CANCEL THE ORDER LAST NIGHT! YOU GUYS GAVE AWAY MY $200 DOLLAR DOG FOOD ORDER TO SOMEONE ELSE WITHOUT VERIFYING WHO THE MAN WAS! She completely disregarded any of my feelings about the situation, told me she wouldn’t give me her managers number, and treated both my husband and I like pieces of crap. I have all the proof in my phone that it wasn’t us, and they basically told us to handle it elsewhere. Literally the worst customer service I have ever, EVER dealt with. I’m currently on hold now for 25 min with customer service having to deal with this nightmare trying to get my money back. I will NEVER shop here again. Only shop here if you wanted to be treated like you don’t matter, and if you want them to give away your orders to other people. Absolutley unacceptable.
Edit to add- the second customer service got on the phone with me, he IMMEDIATELY said petco was in the wrong for this. He said I am the ONLY one authorized to make any order pick ups, and any other person should have been approved by me, and also their customer service team. If they told me a man came in and grabbed it, they should have checked ID because in my app…it’s only approved for a Kara to pick it up. Not some random man that just comes in and asks for an order. Read moreIm going to be as nice as possible only because I got remorse and kindness from Chris the dog trainer, and eventually understanding from the store manager Jordy, and got a full refund from Petco for what Cydney the dog trainer said and did to me and my 6 month old puppy who is a working line german shepherd. Please Beware of dog trainer Cydney. Broken promises and bad trainer. Should be fired, very very very unprofessional on her approach to talk to Me on my lunch break! She slightly maybe can train little dogs, but as far as real obiendience definitely go and pay a trainer that specializes in your breed. This is what I have learned from Cydney: sit, down stay, come, and touch in 6 weeks. I taught shake which she hasn't taught the class. Thats about it. No leash manners at all. Anyways Jordy said my puppy so 'aggressive' and petco policy has to fire my dog either tho Jordy said once a trainer fires you it's their decision. So okay it's Cydney decision due to her not knowing how to properly train a German shep puppy, not petco. He said my puppies temperament of being hyper and 'leash reactive isn't petco policy so your policy isn't training a oh wait 6 month old puppy who's still learning manners. Sounds like excuses due to your trainer not knowing how to be a good trainer. Cydney said he's leash reactive and aggressive but he goes to daycare, dog beach and dog parks. She fired us from puppy training 'classes' said he is 'leash reactive', but didn't see what actually happened when he supposely did bark at another dog. My pup isn't aggressive. He just wanted to meet another dog and 'bark' and meet. But petco trainer once again said she doesn't let them meet rn due to "Covid"
also I told her he 'had' water habit. Liked to protect it, which he hasn't shown since he was 10 weeks old and been training with him every day. And not once did she warn me about anything. When she called she gave me 2 options private or money back. That's it. Not move to another class with other pets or anything to work with me, she clearly gave up on my puppy due to him being a big 60 pound pup.. Period. I said to her when I signed him up at 8 weeks. I'm a new time doggy mom and please don't give up on him. She said absolutely not. False, I don't recommend taking your puppy to Cydney. Now Chris is a diffeent story. He's a great person and and a great dog trainer who knows what he's talking about, very knowledgeable, respectful and listened to my concerns. I hope Petco 'policy' gets some real help and actually a good trainer for Escondido. P.S. Cydnee the pic of my puppy you took of him on your phone delete...
Read moreWe used to use Petco's grooming services with our previous dog before remodeling took place and except of the long time my dog had to spend there waiting for grooming we didn't have any other complaints. We were always happy with the services. 2 weeks ago we brought our new dog for grooming. She spent 4.5 hrs there, we got called she was ready to be picked up but when we came she wasn't even nearly half way done. Our dog is husky woolly, very fluffy and needs a lot of brushing. She wasn't even half way brushed, still a lot of undercoat left, she wasn't dried properly and started smell bad the next day. I am not going to mention that she wasn't trimmed at all. We paid over $100 with tip for washing and brushing and trimming. Unfortunately I paid the tip before they brought her to us. So then they said they did not finish so we need to come back. The only problem was they were booked for 2 weeks in advanced. Once the time of the 2nd visit came, they called to reschedule because the groomer didn't show up for work. I am still upset about this whole experience every time I look at my dog. I had to look for another groomer to finish the job petco didn't finish and had to pay another $100. My dog is terrified of the groomer so just the fact I had to put her through so much stress two times this month makes me double mad. My regular mobile groomer does beautiful job on my dog in maximum 3 hours and petco couldn't do it in almost 5hrs. Due the covid-19 we were forced to use Petco. Maybe they remodeled but customer service of the grooming dept didnt keep up to the look of the store. Just the fact that I wrote this review means the bad experience reached the limits. Soo mad.
