This is a pleasant, clean, uncluttered Local Game Store. Play area is nicely set up and well-lit. Staff are helpful and friendly. The store puppy, Halo, is ridiculously cute and very well-behaved. Pricing on card sleeves is excellent; their Dragon Shield sleeves have a good selection and are better-prices than anywhere else I’ve seen. Pricing on singles is also generally reasonable and aligns with tcgplayer. The Maushold IR 226, for example, currently runs about $30, which is competitively priced. I’d buy singles from this place in a heartbeat. Their accessories (e.g. the Lorcana Pirate Tigger playmat, dice, etc.) are also well-stocked and fairly priced. Unfortunately, like many LGS’s, pricing on packs (see video) is sometimes insane. $45 for an unsleeved ES booster pack is bonkers. Even on TCG these run $30; $45 is straight up unreasonable for unsleeved Eviling Cries, Moonbreon or no Moonbreon. Lost Origins & Paldean Fates are similar sky high- $16 & $15 respectively for an unsleeved booster is crazily over market. In the current craze, some percentage is understandable, but this is steep to the point of needing climbing harnesses. Overall, this is a decent LGS. While I can’t really fault stores for cashing in on the current Pokemon craze to a reasonable level, AB’s pricing on packs is just too high to be anything but gouging. Overpricing packs like this puts buying out of reach for anyone except resellers and WhatNot, which isn’t a lot of fun for the average player/collector/parent. I do recommend the store; I regretfully recommend grabbing packs elsewhere.

Again Shady owner beware! I am responding to the owners response below.

First, I did not arrive before opening as my Google location time stamp photo will show I was there at open 1200 and was forced to stay till 1323.

Second, I was offered the damaged window displays which I still purchased owner would not know this as he was not present and had ZERO communication with me.

Third, I was not offered what I wanted only 4 of two of the sets and 2 of the one set which was all that was in stock of that set which was fine. As stated bellow I was buying almost the entire stock of this product line but was restricted to a verbally stated quantity limit even though the website did not state limits and I had purchased way over 4 of an item in the past.

Lastly, you were not called untill an employee said they had to clear the quantity with you which up until that point was totally fine with zero issues. Besides that if you were called because I was so terrifying to your employees why did you not swoop in to jump between the out of control customer and your employees. Again I had ZERO interaction on the phone or face to face with the owner.

Also I recieved a private email from an employee later personally apologizing for our interaction. Again employees are GREAT this was 100% on the owner. I repeatedly told the employees I was not mad at them and knew it was entirely the owners doing.

Shop where you want but personally I would choose to do business with a more honest and decent individual. Shop Mox Valley in Springfield or Edge of the World in Eugene.

Shady owner(s) I Have spent hundreds if not thousands here over the last few years. Shady owner employees are great mind you. Made a large order online and went to pick up was told I purchase to many of a product (that has been out for about 4+ years mind you). I said fine ill have my wife place an order online. Low and behold you know the owner doubled the price online while I was standing at the counter. Attached are the screen shots only hours apart the increased prices happened while I was in the store. Needless to say I got my "allotment" and will NEVER return. 100% on the owner again the employees are great which is unfortunate. Shop Mox Valley in Springfield or Edge of the...

Coming from a small town and playing card games for over twenty years I would say Addictive Behaviors is the best at what they do. Competitive pricing based on local supply and demand (sometimes cards are overpriced compared to say Amazon, but sometimes despite knowing a card is worth more elsewhere, they tend to price fair based on local needs) and if they get to many of a card they generally will put 5$+ rares into a quarter bin. They do not behave like a regular corner shop, which tend to be slow most of the time, instead they behave like a bar. If its a flagship event and you want to sell them less than 40$ worth of cards or feel that you may not be getting the attention you want? Ask them when a good time to come back is, they will let you know. As far as the environment, patronage and elitism goes-this place will turn you into a nerd gladiator. Random nerds who borrowed their older brothers pokemon deck when they were ten leave this place and conquer tournements nationwide. Competetive players will freely give you tips tricks and advice on how to be a better magic player, pokemon master or board game expert. Lawyers, bank managers, body builders, philosphers and professors play here, as well as your average run of the mill star wars nerd. Quite possibly the greatest card shop...
