This place is amazing, I took my 16 year old Grandson, at his request, to stop by and donate to their fundraiser to help feed folks displaced because of the fires. Then I had a wonderful conversation with the owner about his business and the reason he giving back. I apologize that I don't remember his name, but I won't soon forget this incredibly kind man. Not only did he graciously accept my Grandsons donation, but offered a meal in exchange. As we chatted about the fund raiser he shared with us his family's own personal loss due to the fires, I was so moved by his passion to "give back to help heal" i don't think i found enough good words to express the worth i found in this small business owner who was just trying to do the right thing. Their are indeed Angels, i met one yesterday afternoon. You inspire the good in others, I'm grateful. God bless you and your family. And btw... the food is wonderful, lol our family will most definitely be back! #lifeishard #hopeneverfades...
Read moreI’m shocked that I feel I have to leave a one star review, but here I am. I went to Valley River today and thought a nice bowl a pho to take home would be amazing, but it was literally the worst pho I’ve ever had. So what went wrong? Everything. The noodles were sticking together, like just a clump that broke in pieces and tasted nasty, the meat was way over cooked(it’s not even suppose to be cooked, I asked them not to so I could cook it at home) and the broth had no flavor at all even after adding the necessary sauces.
I love pho, absolutely my favorite dish and whenever I get it it’s truly a treat, but this was just a disappointment. I can’t even finish it because honestly it just doesn’t taste right and now I’m a bit worried I might get sick from it. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I say save your money for a real bowl of pho instead of this...
Read morePaid $20 for a sandwich and thai iced tea. The drink cup was entirely filled with ice, to the point where I could barely poke my straw in it. About 3 sips of actual drink was provided in the cup. I asked if I could get some more drink because I paid $5 for a cup of ice and was rudely denied, as apparently it's their "company policy" to rip people off. The lady said I needed to pay $5 for another drink. Hell no. Terrible customer service and business practice. Edit: I'd never ask for a refill at Starbucks because even they don't fill the ENTIRE cup with ice. That's a pretty low bar to set for yourself. As someone around small business owners, there's a fine line between customer satisfaction and saving money and you all are nowhere near it. I paid $5 for iced tea, not a cup full to the brim with...
