Cafe Aroma — Restaurant in Eugene

Hello fellow coffee drinkers. I'd like to give a glowing review to the barista who made my coffee today (I wish I knew your name).

Today on my break I went to Cafe Aroma for a snack and a drink. I specifically requested that my frap be blended with sugar free syrup. As the girl who was helping me started blending my drink she realized that one of their other main ingredients for fraps had sugar in it. She turned to me and very kindly asked if I was diabetic. I told her I was as well as pregnant and that I'm trying to watch my sugars closely. Without a second thought she remade my drink while juggling with the other girl to help the massive amount of customers that were there. I was VERY impressed with her kind nature, personability, attention to detail, and professionalism. Needless to say I tipped her.

I'm so grateful for people like this that do the right thing just because it's the right thing to do. Also I've worked in food service before. And when it's slammed it can be extremely stressful and very tempting to take shortcuts.

This may seem like a small thing to some people. But to me it was HUGE. I don't buy fancy coffees very often anymore. So being to fully enjoy mine coffee without feeling sick and lethargic was amazing.

This is hands down my favorite coffee spot in town! Great atmosphere, welcoming, and always smells like fresh espresso and good vibes. What really sets this place apart is the exceptional customer service. Every time I come in, the staff greets me with a genuine smile and treats me like a regular, even when I wasn’t one yet. Frustrated and disappointed. It has been twenty minutes past opening and they are still not open. I've been waiting so long for them to open, I called to ask what time they would be open this Sunday, they told me "in just seconds", so I waited another 5mins & then finally I gave up and went somewhere else. I got here 15mins before they opened because I wanted to start my day working at the mall with a drink but I can't wait all day to for them to open. They have two team members that have both been chatting since I've been waiting so I have no idea what the problem was but they certainly didn't communicate anything to me and instead let me wait - telling me nothing. If anything, a business should be trying to open early, not extremely late. Especially if you have multiple people opening? I don't understand but it's disappointing and ruined my morning.
