Major suckage here! Trying diligently not to give Walmart my money ever again.
I used to be a faithful customer but I recently made an order for a product from Walmart online. I paid for the product (they didn't just put a hold on funds, they actually charged my card which creates a legal contract for the sale of the product just the same as a legal contract for the purchase is created when I click to complete the transaction) & I was told it could be picked up the next day. When I arrived at the store for my product the manager came out & said that the advertised price must have been a mistake & "there is absolutely no way I will honor this sale."
I should add that the really messed up thing about this is that I had actually contacted customer support the week before to let them know I thought the price may be incorrect & they should check it immediately & change it if necessary to which I was assured that they would. When I went back on the site a week later, the advertised price was still exactly the same & I made the purchase. So I informed them & made them aware of the possible discrepancy well before I made the purchase so they were perfectly aware of the advertised price for that product & they changed nothing
This is illegal, unethical, & extremely poor business practice. Walmart store policy says they will honor incorrectly priced merchandise as long as it was an error on the company's part & not a customer putting an item back in an incorrect spot. Also, as previously stated, this is illegal as charging my card creates a contract for the sale of the product which they refused to honor.
When I reminded the manager of the store policy & of the law & told him that I had informed the store of the price a week before so it could no longer be considered a mistake (& in spite if the fact their company policy says they will honor incorrect pricing if it was their fault not the customers) the manager then replied, "I don't care, there is simply no way in hell I'm going to sell you that product for the advertised price."
How much money is enough for you Walmart? How many billions do you have to make before you will honor your own policies, the law, & not refuse to sell a product at your own advertised price to a loyal customer?
Shame on you Walmart for your illegal practice and for violating your own store policy & for cancelling the sale you were legally contracted to make at the price you knowingly advertised. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Absolutely disgraceful.

Read moreI had ordered slippers as part of my grocery delivery order which was delivered from a different Walmart that does the delivery. I don’t live anywhere near that one but this Walmart I live near does not do the delivery. The slippers I received were the wrong size than what I ordered. I selected on the app to return the slippers. I received an email with a barcode and instructions that stated “For refund, return this item to any Walmart.” ANY Walmart. The woman who was working the customer service desk on 1/5/21 at approximately 4pm informed me rudely that they do not take returns from delivery orders.
The email from Walmart clearly states I can return to ANY Walmart. The FAQ page in Walmart.com related to returns states when a person receives an email with a barcode for return, the return can be brought to ANY Walmart for refund. If I would have just walked in with the slippers in hand and no receipt at all, they would have returned them.
The worst part is I had ordered the correct size slippers for pick up from THIS store so while they broke all of Walmart’s own policies and refused to refund my money for the slippers, they made additional money off of my purchase of the new slippers.
I refused to unnecessarily drive across town to return to another Walmart when I didn’t have to do that (regardless of what the ill-informed customer service person told me). Fortunately I contacted Walmart corporate customer service from the parking lot who informed me that the employee was incorrect and the store would be contacted to “assure they were following Walmart policies appropriately”. They also refunded my money for the slippers immediately.
I hope this store can provide the needed training to this employee and place employees who have some critical thinking skills into...
Read moreIt's Walmart. The undercover/loss prevention employee heavy set guy with a goatee and glasses, older and looks like a Springtucky type is the rudest person. He thinks everyone is stealing from Walmart and he will make you feel uncomfortable to shop. I have watched him and how he hovers over people just not very professional. Been in many other Walmarts and never seen anyone from the other stores act like this to customers and I have been in the Las Vegas Walmart. He really sucks at his job. If you are supposed to be loss provention you might be a bunch more incognito...
