I went into the Aldiâs at the Euless location. I was walking down the aisle. I fell really hard on the floor. I screamed in pain. A couple people came and asked me if I was OK. I slowly picked myself up off the floor and was injured. My right knee and ankle was injured. I limped to the front of the aisle and almost fell again. That is when I realized that there was water all down the isle and I also realize that there was no caution signs anywhere. When I asked the cashier for help. she looked at me and said, âoh well!â, put her head back down and continued scanning items. I told her that I fell. I asked her for help. She did not help me. once I finally got home, I sent an email to Aldiâs regarding the incident and my injuries. I still suffer with those injuries today. I had to go to physical therapy and lost time from work. I had to see an orthopedic specialists, I have x-rays and more. As a result of the pandemic, I had to continue my physical therapy at home and endured out-of-pocket expenses for my physical therapy equipment at home. I endured depression, stress, weight gain from a lack of mobility and loss of funds. My quality of life was definitely affected. Luckily, I went from a boot to a brace, but I still canât walk right without pain. I have not been back to that Aldis or any Aldis since the accident. If thatâs the kind of employees that they hire, I donât want to support that type of business. I am unsure if the cashier didnât help me because Iâm a woman of color. I am unsure if she did not help me because it was the end of the night. For the life of me I cannot figure out why she did not help me and she seen that I was injured. Not only that but I always walked in there with a pleasant personality and was kind and friendly to everyone all the time. That is who I am. However at the end of the day, she did not help me at all. I ended up with my injuries for over a year. Aldis has lost my business forever. Who does that to their...
Read moreI would never imagine that I would like a grocery store like ALDI. In fact, I would never have tried them if it wasn't for my wife. She shops here all the time for certain items.
They have the best prices on some limited items. The oatmeal-cranberry cookies are like crack; I have to have them in the pantry every week or I go through withdrawals. :)
Been drinking Ozarka water by the case for 20 yrs. I find I drink a lot more water if it's in a handy 16oz bottle and I loved the taste... or lack thereof. We tried a case of PurAqua last year. It comes 24 to a case which is much lighter than the 38 or 40 to a case we're been getting at Sams. At 1/2 price for 1/2 as much, it's more convenient ... but screw that, I love the clean, fresh taste. It's so much better!
Milk and eggs are always lower priced than at Walmart ... although we still shop there every week, too. And the off-brand Chicken Corn Chowder is great.
There's probably more items that are standouts but wife will have to remind me.
One last thing: check out and carts. Grocery carts require a deposit of $.25. You get it back when you return the cart. When you're trying to be the low cost leader in your niche, you save pennies if you don't have to retrieve carts from a parking lot all the time or having them get banged up by cars (or banging into cars!) And you have to bring your own shopping bags like Sams Club. Wife bought some foldables 2 yrs ago that she keeps in the trunk. Sill like new.
Check out is like watching Olympic class athletes vs an elementary school athlete so don't worry about seeing a long line: It moves fast. World class fast! (I understand they are paid 3x more than you would imagine).
Worth checking out this store to see if it's worth making an extra trip once in while. You might be surprised. I...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I are here several times a week for their low prices. The store itself is fine, but the cashiers at this store make me extremely uncomfortable. They do not say hi how are you, have a nice day, or ANYTHING at all. They just stare off in the distance as if they would rather be dead than be at work, and they literally pretend youâre not even there. If someone around us doesnât know the basics of Aldiâs bag or carriage policy, the cashiers seem extremely annoyed instead of being friendly and helpful. If you hate talking to people, you shouldnât be working in customer service or retail. Come on Aldi general managers, please step up their game to give customers a more pleasant experience! Today on 2/10/2020 my cashier was Carolsamary. She was on her phone while checking people out, texting and scrolling. I find this to be extremely disrespectful. I left feeling very irritated. As someone who has worked in customer service, I feel I should be leaving a store feeling happy, not frustrated. Even the employees at Walmart are infinitely friendlier and more professional than here. You should not be working at Aldi if you cannot interact with people. Again, please Aldi GMs- get...
