The store offers an incredible variety of high-quality groceries at unbeatable prices, making it a must-visit for locals and anyone passing through the area.
While the bargains are certainly a highlight, what truly sets this location apart is the outstanding customer service, especially from one of their employees, Carlee. Over the years, Carlee has become my favorite cashier, and itâs easy to see why. She brings a level of enthusiasm and professionalism to her work thatâs rare and deeply appreciated.
Carleeâs positive energy is infectiousâwhether sheâs greeting customers with a warm smile, helping someone locate an item, or simply making the checkout process smooth and enjoyable, she goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience for everyone. Her knowledge of the store and its ever-changing inventory is impressive, and sheâs always ready with helpful recommendations or information about new products.
What makes Carlee stand out even more is her approachable and fun personality. Sheâs genuinely invested in her customers and takes the time to engage, making each interaction feel personal and friendly. Itâs clear she takes pride in her work, and her dedication shines through in every aspect of her service.
The rest of the team at Grocery Outlet in Eureka is equally commendable, working hard to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.    Read moreToday, 7/10/22, is the 4th time I've been into THIS Grocey Outlet. I am a big fan of the one back home, Sonora CA. This location has disappointed me each time I've shopped here. The store is set up decent. The lighting is very dim. As I age, that's rough on the eyes - curse you Father Time! Jk The pricing is my biggest gripe. Today I went to 3 different stores; Grocery Outlet, Target and Safeway. Yes...if you're wondering, I apparently like suffering. Lol I was able to compare prices, however, in real time. The prices at this location irked me so much I DID check the prices on what i purchased here against the other two stores. The point of Grocery Outlet is bargain deals, and really random off-the-wall flavored items you had no clue existed. Every produce item I got except 2, which was 7, was overpriced. I had a feeling but wasn't sure. Only the green onions were cheaper at G.O. The quality is always a smidgen lower, but we expect that with the bargain pricing that is supposed to accompany it. A bunch of bananas was $2.99 here (roughly 6 bananas). Target has them for $0.25 each. Peaches were $2.99lb here, Target had them at $1.49lb, Safeway had them at $1.99lb. The selections on their regular items is severely lacking too. I understand they don't have much control over most of their inventory. However, tin foil and a can opener you'd expect to be there. Dog food is pricey and there is very little. Maybe it's right before a delivery though. The employees are all very kind and helpful. My cashier was sweet and speedy. Called for extra cashiera when the line had 3+ carts. Smart. All in all... it's hard to even give this place 3 stars. Paying the same price as I would at a normal store, where nothing is possibly expired or on the verge, would be a better choice for the...
Read moreI like the Eureka store's new hours. Closing at 9:00 pm is far better than 8:00 pm. Even with the extra hour, I still very often find myself the last customer out the door. The store is what it is. It never will be a Ray's or Safeway. It doesn't always have that little niche item you want. But it has more than it's fair share of options. Depending on the time of day or which way the wind is blowing, you can find bargains galore. Or not. Sometimes killer deals are super limited disappearing as quickly as they are put out. If you are lucky, you're there to score. Don't expect today's deal to be there when you come back. Truth is, that deal could be gone by the time you have second thoughts. The owners are incredibly friendly. Most of the staff are too. You might get away shoplifting for a short time, but not for long. The staff will aggressively pursue you, to the point of engaging in a foot race if they catch on. Most of the time they win. If they don't catch you, EPD picks the suspect up later.
Heads up on the bathroom. Unfortunate events now require getting a token from a cashier to use...
