I ordered takeout. First time here and am really impressed with the food and the owners who took my order and helped me during pickup. Very polite, kind and welcoming. Beautiful smiles which made me feel welcome. The food was excellent. We ordered sesame chicken which was cooked beautifully and very tasty. The Szechwan Tofu we ordered it without broccoli or onions and medium heat. This had a great flavor, Tofu was perfectly cooked, medium, in my option was not spicy, so I will try spicy next time. Also a 1/2 order of vegetable Egg Foo young. Eggs were done spectacularly and the veggies as well. Pork egg rolls were delicious. Definitely traditional, reminded me of my friend's mothers' she would make us. The Hot and Sour soup was good and the Egg Flower soup had such a comforting, gentle flavor. Steamed rice was cooked to perfection. They even gave us some mandarins and freshly cooked sesame balls as a thank you. We will be coming back.
p.s.. For those who may not know, it is best if you order hot and sour soup, to let it cool slightly before eating. Otherwise, the vinegar which makes the sour flavor is too aromatic and pungent,. As it slightly cools that effervescent mellows as well.....
Read moreFirst we were treated as if we didn't have enough money to pay for the food that we were trying to order.. But I had just driven 5 hours and over 300 miles and I was hungry. When we ordered 2 orders of an appetizer and the lady kept behaving as if we could not pay for it again and it was the sample platter,, but two of them. She only brought out one tiny portion of sweet-and-sour sauce for 2 orders of the sample dishes and looked all surprised or anxious when I asked can you please bring some more sweet-and-sour sauce. Since I had just driven up 5 hours I just wanted to get some food to go so we ordered the dinner for 2 and ordered an additional plan additional plate beef broccoli to go with it. The total came to nearly a $100 when we got to the hotel and opened the food in the food the beef broccoli was a 95% broccoli and 5% beef. There were no spoons no forks no chopsticks we specifically had asked for chopsticks and had she joked about it And we had wonton soup and there was no spoons. It was very frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn't...
Read moreThe server, who I think might have been the owner, was very friendly and trying really hard, but this was honestly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. The food took forever to come out. The fried rice was flavorless. Maybe they put a dab of dark soy sauce in it and that was it. Rice seemed fresh instead of using older rice so texture was weird. Szechuan beef was dripping in a sweet and sour sauce and in a pool of oil, was not spicy as I requested, and many pieces were stuck together and not fried the cook must have just thrown pieces in together because he was in a rush and so there were big clumps of beef that were not even fried because it was stuck together. The orange chicken was rock hard. Literally tasted so stale and hard, not crispy at all, just hard. The silverware was dirty. I will say, the prices were very good but I would have rather paid more for edible food. This is one of the few times in my entire life the food was so bad I couldn’t eat. We paid and left and went and ate at another restaurant. I’m so...
