We bought two pair of boots here yesterday, and they are wonderful (a pair of $250 Thorogoods and a $140 pair of Muckboots for my husband). My husband was in a hurry yesterday because of the snowstorm, and upon arriving at home, realized that the Muck boots he bought were 1/2 size too small for him. Since we realized that the boots were too small, but also amazing, we decided that we would return to the store today to swap out the un-used first pair of boots and pick up a second pair of the same style boots for myself. However, upon arriving at the store today, the staff refused to allow my husband to return the boots, stating that it was because they had been worn outside (which they had not). Please see attached photos for the condition of the boots, which, bear in mind, we had for less than 24 hours and were never worn outside the house. So our grievance is the unreliable return policy. We spent over $530 total for footwear at Whistle Workwear and, disappointingly, we were not afforded the benefit of the doubt or good faith to return these perfectly new boots for ones that fit. Needless to say, if there is any chance you may have to return or swap the item you purchase, this purveyor is a dicey option at best. We will take our business elsewhere...

These guys and gals are top notch!! I bought a pair of steel-toed shoes here last Nov, and when the fabric on the inside of the heel started wearing down and tearing out last month, I decided to take them back up to get them replaced since they were still under the 1-year warranty from Wolverine. The store only had a 6-month warranty, but the style of shoe was discontinued anyway, so replacing them was not an option. But they credited me the amount for which I had bought them and had me look around for a new pair, to which I was surprised to find a similar style that was $10 cheaper. So when I picked up a new pair of Romeos while I was there, they put the remaining balance toward them.

Read moreI try to avoid going here any more because the last time I was in a few years ago I had such a terrible customer service experience. This guy forced me to give him my bag even though I told him my computer and equipment was in it, refused to provide me customer service when I was looking for a specific work glove, then when I left and asked for my bag back I saw that he'd discarded it someplace where anyone could easily have grabbed and walked out the door with it. When I said as much he then openly mocked me for suggesting someone might steal my computer. Was in again today for the first time since that incident, hoped it would have improved but no luck again. Customer service didn't seem interested in helping. When they didn't have my size, I had to be the one to suggest looking into ordering it but they seemed reluctant to put the effort in so I just left. Will never...
