I just bought something from here from their clearance section for my son, nieces and nephews. Upon going to the counter I met the owner’s mother (she kept refusing me simple things like an extra bag saying it was an added expense for her son, so I suppose it was his mother) and had a terrible experience. I don’t usually leave reviews but I’m putting this up and then choosing to move on with my day. I asked for an extra bag for the items I bought because it wouldn’t fit in one small one - the other worker got out two and she had her put one away. We were told to hold the other item instead. It’s small and petty but wasn’t about the bag, I think. There were a couple of other things that were unnecessarily unkind that I won’t mention. It appears to be racially motivated microaggression that I’m not used to experiencing since I’m from a big city. Masking superiority for frugality for no apparent reason to anyone else but me despite there being a number of people in the store. Either that or she’s very stingy or unkind based on the fact that I bought multiple things from the clearance section. Regardless, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I do not recommend shopping at this store.
ETA: came home and opened one with my son and it tasted strange but thought nothing of it. And realized they’re all expired. We bought it on July 12th but they expired in May. They were clearance items but there wasn’t any indication that they...
Read moreI adore this place. Of course, there are many little shops like this along water street, but the constant flow of products at Crafted New England is what makes it worth popping in. There's so many things to look at, from clothing, to accessories, home decor, on site hand poured candles that smell incredible (i can't help but buy a handful every time i go in), pottery, you name it and i bet it's there. Not only are the products top notch, but Kyle and his mom are the sweetest. They will provide entertainment and make you feel like life long friends. Definitely worth a peek, it's a lovely atmosphere and it always...

If you're visiting Exeter, NH definitely visit this store -- you won't regret it! And if you live in town, consider supporting this...
