What was great: I was in a pinch for a haircut, I called to see if they could do a walk in (their booking site showed the barbers being all booked up); they got back to me pretty quick via text telling me they could get me in if I got up there. I’m new to the area, so this is the first haircut I’ve had in town. I was pumped they were able to get me in since the shop has so many positive reviews. Terrance was friendly and accommodating.

What was bad: Cleanliness wasn’t there. If the haircut was sharp, I’d return despite that, but it made an already skeptical experience worse. The haircut. Terrance spent what I expect to be a reasonable amount of time executing a clean, detailed haircut. Now I will say, I paid him without getting too particular on checking out what he did, so that’s on me. I should’ve spoke up. But $35, plus tip, for a standard haircut and line up (no beard/mustache trim, no foil shaver/razor fade) I’d think anyone would have a pretty high expectation… The haircut is pretty rough. Maybe it was an off day, but I could find a barber who charges half that price and still not let this haircut walk out,...

Made an appointment while the business was booming, I had a small wait time past my appointment time by just a few minutes. I got a haircut and beard trim by Terrance and he took his time to make sure my cut was clean and even. The whole time he was nothing but nice and professional. He made sure hair stayed out of my eyes after it was cut. My hairline isn’t the greatest and previous barbers at other shops have mocked me for it but he didn’t. I normally covered it by wearing a hat but by the time he was done I didn’t feel the need to hide my fresh new look, anyone wanting a good cut for a reasonable price, JVS Barbershop is the place to go. By far the best cut I’ve had in a long time, and Terrance if you see this, I appreciate you getting me right again. I’ll definitely be coming back again...
